No need for pics (unless, of course, someone would like to post some :wave) but does Arwen's display box follow the design of the Legolas and Gimli display boxes?

Yes it does follow the same design.
Sorry Dino, I forgot to post pics of the boxes for you. I know you had asked and I forgot.

Hmm . . .and to think I was extolling how Gimli's paint app was a slam dunk. You would think SS would know where to route these for painting within their paint farm. Looks like they sent this to the Rogue PF line for beginners. I'm hoping the paint app on mine turns out great then, but I won't know because mine's FLEX'd and will arrive way after most of you.

Arwen #100 has savely arrived at my desk. :yess: She's a beauty!

Well, I have observed one thing: her looks (and likeness to Liv) is REALLY dependant on the right lighting you put her in. In the two fotos I've taken I just turned the main light a bit above her head. Makes all the difference, don't you think?

Thank you Sir! But my humble pics don't do her justice. In hands she's really gorgeous IMO. Properly lit, you can definately see Trevor's great sculpt here!

I think I'm in love! :rotfl

I got my piece tonight. #23 on the outer box. However, on the bottom of the statue it is actually #24. The interesting thing is my Gimli is #22.

Anyway, as to the statue. I am definately less than thrilled with both the likness and paint on the face. The rest of the statue looks fantastic. My regular head is actually worse than my exclusive head.

My issues:

1. Regular head has googly eyes
2. Regular head the neck doesn't fit perfectly into the V of her dress leaving a very tiny gap at the bottom of the V
3. Both heads: The lips are not nearly red enough
4. Both heads: The color of the paint on the face is darker / slightly more red than the color of the paint on her neck / chest area. This seems strange to me. Were they trying to give her blush? If so it didn't come out quite right.

I will likely be trying to get a replacement head for the regular version as the googly eyes and gap are annoying. The other gripes I can live with.

Overall it's a pretty nice looking elf female but in my opinion it is definately the least well done of the initial 5 statues in this line. Likeness is the worst and face paint app is the worst.

Paired with Aragorn it does look great and from a short distance the flaws I have pointed out are barely noticeable. Lately I am finding with SS statues that you are often happier when you look at the statues from 5 feet away than you are from 1 foot away. Which is too bad but kind of the way it is sometimes.

That's like night and day.

Hi
Just got arwen no.129. Nice statue but the reg head has eyes seeing diff direction. The ex head is rather nice though!
Be gentle when you are changing the heads and the sideburns seems fragile
After looking at her for a while it actually grows on you,and if she is saying dont call sideshow for a replacement reg head!!!

Got Arwen tonight. She's a really beautiful piece and the detail is pretty impressive. The skin paint is really great I think on mine but the eyes on mine could be a bit better. The overall piece like I said is beautiful and I am very glad to have her.
