Ash PF!!!!!

On a side note, has there ever been any Darkness/Hulk/Captain America-level gushing for a PF based on a live actor without prosthetic makeup? I'm thinking no, with the Obi-Wan and Leia PF's probably at the top of the human likeness list. Its a lot harder to nail a PF when there's an unforgiving screenshot of a live actor you can always post side by side to pick out the flaws.

This is 100% true. Film "creatures" or comic characters are MUCH easier to pull off.

I agree that there is a pretty good balance of praise vs criticism when it comes to these pieces.

I think most people have justified why they don't like it. That's all you can ask when giving feedback on a piece that most people seems to have a problem with.

It's not even about that...it's about enjoying what we have. Two weeks ago there wasn't even the slightest hint that an Ash PF would be created. Now we have a very cool representation of Ash in PF quality and people are complaining about the way he leans...that's extreme!!!

It just boggles my mind that people can zero in on the neck length or position of the arm without saying what is great about the figure first. If the length of his neck truly bothers you that much I really feel bad for you...it's that simple!

To think that someone who loves Ash wouldn't purchase this piece because his neck appears to be too long needs to reassess something...

I for one will leave it up to the experts who have done their research and scaled the figure properly based on actual measurements.

It just seems that everyone is over eager to jump on the "hate" bandwagon.

There have been many, many pieces, from Darth Vader PF to 1/6 Aragorn, that have gotten lots of hate, but when they actually arrive the majority of people are happy with them.

So, just because I love the Evil Dead I'm supposed to overlook what I consider to be (IMO) flaws in the design of the PF?

I think overall this PF is great, but a few things are keeping it from being an AWESOME PF (along the lines of Greivous). Things like an elongated neck take this PF from being a spot-on representation of the character, and make it more like one of those comiquette things that Tiki does. IMO, of course.

I understand...really I do. I may seem like a dick with my responses but if you like a character why would you let something like that stop you from enjoying it...just seems silly that's all.

Ultimately, it's your choice and money...so be it. If you really wouldn't buy it because of the neck how can I argue with that...

This "giraffe" Ash version, while certainly not perfect or anything close to it, isn't all that bad either. Not sure I'm willing to pull the trigger for $250 just yet. I'll wait until I see one in person before I decide.

no .. I didn't get to see it .. I'll have to check it out ...

and - no harm done in the conversation .. but I think we can all agree that this is one character that deserves a "perfect" PF. It is the reason why the Part 3 Jason gets so much love.

I think we expect perfection from SSC because we know they can do it. We've seen it in past items, and are certain to see it from future products.

It isn't nitpicking, as much as I think it is holding them to a level that we know they can achieve.

Ash's giraffe neck on the piece does absolutely nothing to decrease my love for the movie or the character, but it does have a big affect on whether or not I'll spend that much cash from my wallet to glorify him on my shelf. If I'm going to say to myself everytime I look at it "damn, that neck just looks wrong", there isn't much point in my buying it.
