Yeah, I got that too and then clicked the link and it is the lower price someone mentioned... still $10 there and another $10 for their cheap shipping and that is an extra $20. Not to mention that Asmus will only get a portion of it. I do appreciate BBTS but if I am paying the same or less might as well have that money go towards making their next figure as good as this one and then we all win.

For free shipping world wide i'm buying this from Asmus, i've never been offered free shipping ww on ANY 1/6th figures, in fact the shipping is usually what makes the item so much more expensive than it could have been for me. Just bought it, hopefully here aren;t any delays with and we get it Oct, shortest wait between a pre-order and release for me.

Are there two separate Palantirs or is the back side painted black, I wonder?

I especially love the diagonal, swirly, black paint detail on the Sauron's Eye side of the Palantir. Most of the time when companies have done Palantirs, they've done them as the full Eye. This kind of catches it mid-transition and makes it a little more dynamic. Very cool!

I just sent George a PM to see if there is anything that can be done about charging immediately when you direct-order thru Asmus. If they could accept preorders but not charge until imminent delivery I know that I myself and many others here would likely go direct with Asmus as well as all future purchases.

Looks like a very impressive figure here.

I'm not interested in building an entire LOTR collection because there are just too many characters, however this Saruman and the upcoming Gandalf would look great as a display.

The figure by itself is really good and worth it, but the Palantir was the tipping point for me, always loved the look of it in the film and having it with the figure looks really cool. Will def display him with his hand over it.

I got mine (Eowyn) a few weeks ago. it sometimes takes them awhile, but I can live with it as long as I continue to get product. And they have great customer service.
