You've captured O.B. in that sculpt. Looks great.

The only issue I see is with the skin texture being a bit too rough. Should be smoothed out a bit.
I bet that texture will definitely reduce during the casting process. I may be wrong but I think texture is often over done on the raw sculpt because it reduces during casting so therefore you retain some texture on the production heads.

Texture will not be a problem, we will keep an eye on it.

We are no longer having any issue on deformation, so please don't worry.

Please don't change a thing!!! I can't wait to see the final figure in his costume. I knew nothing about LOTR before the films. After seeing the first film, I had to get that Toybiz Legolas asap!

For the love of god, please, please, please DON'T change the sculpt in anyway. THAT is Orlando Bloom as Legolas. That's 100% it.

I've lost faith in Asmus after really wanting to support this line...please win me back with this figure.

Glad to hear this :yess:

Any news on the costume choice for this figure? If it is the Hobbit version, I will be heartbroken. LOTR or nothing. Amon Hen version please

I assume Fellowship since they want to complete the fellowship and all the others they've made are in Fellowship attire.

Gandalf the Grey was labelled as being from the Hobbit, not Fellowship of the Ring. I think they tried to give it all the accessories that covered both movies though. I would've preferred a younger looking head sculpt though, but it still looks decent.

Perhaps you can redo the GtW at some point, the squished head is the only drawback. Or better yet use the original portrait that was done for GtG in its place.

Given the unfortunate lack of market for Hobbit figures (Sideshow won't even carry Thranduil), I'm betting Asmus will steer the line back towards LotR with many of their future releases. So I'm expecting Leggy's LotR look. (Hopefully with Rohan shoulder armor!)

Personally, I would TOTALLY buy an Old Bilbo/Young Bilbo two pack. And Thorin and Azog and Bolg and a bunch of other dwarves ... but apparently I'm not in the majority. :monkey2

That's how i have him displayed. My favorite look.

He isn't a complex figure as far as layers so I would hope the Rohan armor would be included.

This isn't the first time Asmus have done bows either, so hopefully the fact that this guy won't have rooted hair will mean that he's either not too pricy, or he has some extra fun stuff thrown in.

Maybe he could have some lembas bread seeing as Sam didn't get any. :)

would be cool if we kinda got an all in one. Mirkwood and Lothorien bow and quiver along with the Helms Deep Rohan armor
