He's still on my BBTS pre-order list. But you're right, Wor-Gar, there hasn't been a peep. Which is kind of odd, considering how open and engaged they've been on other topics. It would be nice if Asmus could give us a little update.

Is it a shipping issue? (Sometimes things get held up in customs.) Or are they actually doing something different with the product? I would be thrilled if they were addressing the body and lump-placement issues. It'd also be swell if they added more weathering, too, but I'm just getting greedy now.



On a side note: That is the first time I've ever used the phrase "lump-placement issue" in a sentence. It's a proud day for me.

I have to admit that I went from super excited for this line to not getting my hopes up. Last I heard it was late Feb. If it gets pushed back further I can see people start to cancel their preorders. I wonder why the representative from Asmus Toys changed on here? Used to be AD Artwork IIRC now it is Asmus. Somebody should be doing some damage control if you ask me. Hell there's even a thread on asking questions and it hasn't been updated in 5 days.

I think they did answer it in another thread. I want to say that the representative on here said they didn't know why it wasn't shipping to the States yet and that it had been released.

I just assumed at this point it is a delay with wherever our State side stores are buying him from or a factory delay.

Looks like the first ones hit ebay around the begining/mid of January. What is the typical delay from when a Hot Toy figure hits the streets in Asia to when they show up at Sideshow? If its a month than we should expect Gothmog now if its closer to two months then mid March would be about right.

Well here's the response I received from bbts

"At this time we unfortunately have not received any further accurate arrival date information for this product. I do apologize but manufacturers and vendors tend to provide very little information about exact arrival and/or ship dates. Often times we may not receive any updates on products until they are in transit to our facility. Please note that if we do receive any further updates, we will be sure to update our website listing accordingly. Since they are out overseas, it is likely that our shipment is either in transit or being prepared to be shipped to our facility."

A lot of times they do give updates to the shipping/arrival time so I believe them when they say they haven't received any more information and I also believe that sometimes they don't know anything until they are shipped to them.

but all our pre-ordered Gothmog are sent out in like... January.
Before Chinese New Year.
I can't promise any new orders which we are still getting them in,
but I am sure all the pre-orders were long out.

We didn't make many Gothmog, nor there were many orders,
If you have ordered, and have yet got it, may be try email your dealer,
and if you haven't got a reply.
you can also email us who you bought from, and we will try tracking it down to your dealer's source,
see what happened.

Thanks guys! I started to panic when you said all were filled. You just stopped me on my way to ebay.

BBTS is where I normally order stuff from so I am glad they seem to be on board with the line so far. I have Gurtiz and Gandalf per-ordered from there too.
