Just ordered a Gothmog too from OSB, should have him in a few days. Really looking forward to finally having some LOTR pieces in my collection.

My credit card NOW has a pending charge from BBTS for Gothmog...looks like their shipment is in and they will begin processing pre-orders this week!

BBTS has not got their shipment in yet and it will be another couple weeks. I just got off the phone with them. Called because of Geb's comment above regarding processing.

So is there a consensus on which body this guy should be switched to? I've got a couple of cheap no-name bodies in my bin that I'm hoping will do the trick, but if he looks remarkably better on a brand name body, I'll certainly aim higher.

Apologies for the "pending charge" post...although my bank does show a pending charge, guess it doesn't mean that shipments are indeed in. Kinda weird I guess...if you ask me.

The age of men is CLEARLY over.
I like this guy! The body is indeed poorly articulated but also sturdy as hell...I don't really feel the need to port him somewhere else atm.
Good job Asmus...what I can say to you is keep the stuff the are great (most of the scuplt, head in particular but also the armor), pump up the weathering (and just a bit of metal highlight on the armor) and pay more attention to some details (both gloved hands are sadly cheap looking). Also I have nothing against plastic tray (even if foam was surely better looking) but avoid the damn tape!

MOAR!

Congrats!

I read between the lines there as a kind of "review". Never heard about the tape before but, yes, that could be a real problem if it gets caught in the hair/fur. Does the figure clearly need a full breakdown and rebuild out of the box?

The tape "issue" was more a collector friendly stuff, also because the first tray with the figure has it while the second one with the stands does not. The figure is pretty good looking straight out of the box, imho (more than the Witchking with all his bulky robes before water treatment) but if you want him screen accurate a good dose of futzing and reassembling is needed for chest and arms.

I'll certainly be uploading some pics tonight, can't wait to get home and photograph him! Ordered mine from One Sixth Bruce.
