I didn't even see the need to comment on the obvious in the ACI thread. There is no comparison that can be made, the Asmus version is awesome on every level.

Sorry if this has already been answered, but has Asmus confirmed this will come with an improved body (over the witchking one?)

Also, ASMUS if you are listening, give me double jointed elbows! IMO, no excuse for decreased articulation in this case when the arm is covered up by clothes/armor

Looking at the pictures, it appears to me that the horse is flocked. Does any one else perceive the same? If it is indeed flocked, that is kinda cool but will play hell on the dusting.

I think you're right. Definitely looks flocked to me. Personally I'd marginally prefer a straight paint job with a matte finish, but it's fine. Actually looks like it might help disguise the joints a bit. (Though I'll bet the joints are much more obvious when you open them up a little. I'm guessing they aren't flocking the insides of the joints.)

Still, though ... I think this is looking terrific!

Especially the reins and rigging!

This is Asmus's response from the other thread about the new body, I don't know if it applies to the nazgul figures as well.

Yes, we have an upgraded body under development,
hopefully for Skully we can start using it! (Was planed for Gandalf)

When it is ready and approved to be good,
we will develop a piece to make it taller for Morgul Lord
and we will have a special package to buy it in a cheaper way.

Hopefully that will fix WK once and for all


Like I said, I'm not sure if they will be using it for the Nazgul, but I would think that they would.

As I said in the Facebook posting about this - "well played, Asmus, well played."

But I'll say it here - I wish Asmus and ACI would coordinate more than compete. If they are both doing Aragorn, one could do the Ranger and the other the Black Gates version. Heavy competition where we are forced to choose between them isn't good for the 1/6 LotR license. It splits the pot so neither can continue. But if they coordinate, doing different figures we all win.
