If your looking for a one off companion get the aci version, the Aragon is from the aci line not the asmus anyway

I think it's a good two-figure set, but if the steed isn't needed I'd opt for the ACI version.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look at ACI version. It doesn't matter for me whether one is Asmus or ACI, I just want a nice companion set.

Yeah, the ACI does seem nicer and sturdier, just that it's same price for Asmus' Nazgul/Steed combo. If you want the steed, Asmus is a better deal.

Not sure its a fair comparison either way. Nazgul and Steed is a specific look. Nazgul on its own with his sword wielded is a different shelf presence. You could have both... there are nine after all.

Its also a money choice. With ACI, you pay for the more realistic figure. Real armor that for the most part should be hidden. But you know its there. For Asmus, it will require more futz time, likely additional work (weathering and small fixes apparently) but this line has consistently required the customer to add some final tweaks. I look at these figures as almost kits -- to be finalized to my liking by me.

So you really need to decide what Nazgul do I want, how much do I want to spend, and how much work do I really want to do on this figure? Answer those questions, the your choice will be made for you.

Maybe if you bought both you could swap the aci armour to rider so you can see it, and the asmus leg armour to the the standing figure so you have the satisfaction of knowing armour is under the robes but the stability of the aci body and the hand armour showing, just looking at the aci thread I want that wraith just can't justify the price right now

A couple of pics withe stand repositioned to help hide it, still haven't water treated and may not until work out fitting into a detolf or similar

I like that stand in that position...looks very natural! Can't wait to receive mine...

I am looking to order this for my birthday and I was wondering where are the best places to order it that still have the set in stock. I saw Bigbadtoystore has it for 300 plus shipping. Are there any places better than that. I saw an online store called animarket had it for a decent price but I have never heard of them. Any suggestions?

Animarket's reputable but shipping to the States for a big box like this will likely price it above BBTS. They're (BBTS) really the only place I can think of that would have this in stock. Urban Samurai had some but pretty sure they're long sold out now.

Animarket are sold out, no joy there.

Take couple of precautions with the horses stand guys, the clasp that holds to the horse is on a pivot, held by a spring and screw, my steed has taken a dive a couple of times and tightening the screw won't stop it. It tends to hold for a couple of days then just gives way. I put some s glue on it to help it hold will see in a couple of days I guess

Thanks for the Nazgul sword Asmus.

How is it?

This is only to pose the horse on two hooves, right? Rearing up.
