It's killing me. I got a little tax refund.

Do I:

A) Blow it on this swell Nazzy/Steed set (that I once had pre-ordered but had to cancel when funds got short).

B) Blow it on the AMAZING new Shark City Ozark Bruce Bust (which I totally love).

C) Do the right thing and use it to pay down credit card debt caused by my generally poor collectibles-related decision-making skills.

You'll feel like a champ if you use it to pay down the debt, Bucky! Think BBTS has a ton of the Nazgûl/Steed sets, so why not pay the debt down, then monitor their inventory until the stock gets uncomfortably low? Best of both worlds! ;) I'm doing the same with ACI's regular Ringwraith.

My Nazgul/Steed order is processing. :yess:

I know, many of you prefer the ACI now... but I like futzing and I think I can make this pair ROCK!
I love the ACI but think futzed this set will look amazing. I'm expecting big things, Wor-Gar! :impatient:

Oh man, I soooooooooooooo want that Bruce head!

But I concur with Sol. Pay down the debt. You'll feel better. There will always be a Bruce bust to be had from Ozark.

So my lovely wife surprised me on Saturday with a Nazgul and Steed set for my birthday. I knew she was planning on getting it for my birthday but I didn't think it would be here day of. Its a great figure with a lot of presence. I did have a loose right ankle like many people but luckily it wasnt broken and I was able to pop it back on. This is my first Asmus toys figure and I am really looking forward to the rest of their line. Now if I could only get a Thranduil and Swag Stag set.

Nice!

This thing is finally in town!

at last i opened them,, man what a great hassle the steed was...it couldnt stand properly even with the stand it have hard time to stand vertical. the gap of feet of the horse between each other is too close.
my display vision for them was to pose them like sideshow statue all majestic and great... with that problem i only can pose them like a typical boring display.
and to see all the pics here, i think you guys can pose it very nicely. any tip to make the steed stand properly. ?

well luckily it compensated with guritz and gothmog....

Haha, seriously, though, looking forward to what you do and your impressions Wor. :duff

How does one monitor BBTS' inventory?
It's not as good as it used to be, because a ways back, one could add an item to one's cart, change the number to say 1000 and hit "update cart" and the true amount of their stock would appear in the cart. They got wise to people doing that and now the maximum number one can add to their cart is 24, but it's still a good gauge for when to jump on something that might sell out. I've been checking now and again for weeks, for example, on the ACI Ringwraith, and it's yet to drop below 24. I'm concentrating on other stuff for the time-being and will jump on the Wraith once it drops below 10 or so.

Happy Birthday, madgo, and congrats on the set!

I've cut two lengths from a kebab skewer and using them to further separate the front and hind legs. Works a treat, though the hind legs will never be properly aligned without opening up the whole thing. Even then it might not be an assembly fault but a design problem.

I agree with the odd shape of the steed's feet. I had particular trouble with the back pair. They don't really want to stand flat. I managed to get the front two to stand flat and the back are as relatively stable as possible. I actually used the Nazgul's stand to help keep the horse stable. I just set it up under its belly from the side. Hopefully that will prevent it taking any dive's off my shelf. All in all it seems pretty stable.

Has anyone tried ACI's Nazgûl + Asmus Toy's Steed?
Would ACI Nazgûl metal armor too heavy for Asmus Steed?
Would they be in similar scale next to each other? (Of course they are both 1/6 scale, but two Nazgûl can be different in height/head size, leg length..etc)

My set is coming soon! :)

I just hope the steed flocking lasts. In my experience, it doesn't last too many years.

good idea, i might try that .. i have to consider that the continue pressure from the skewer / stopper will make the legs deform over time though ....but will try

That's the idea! I've had mine like that for over a week, and I'm going to remove it soon and see whether the legs keep their more stable position.
