Oh...I just went ahead and ordered from MOTFS.com. Major issue I have with this order...MOFTS only accepts Paypal as a payment source...so I had to pay the full $180 up front.

I already got the Paypal receipt from them...but folks will likely be hesitant to buy from MOFTS having to pay in full up front.

I guess I'm the guinea pig here...but I am hoping they get it first and ship first since they are Asmus Toys main distributor (Taiwan)!!

just ordered this from BBTS...damn...can't wait to own the bad guys from the movies!!!...thank you Asmus for making this happen...atleast you have shown that you guys are capable of producing an awesome prototype....:)

Yeah, I'm with you, Geb. I'd actually prefer to see a couple more figures that aren't "likeness" figures released first. Maybe Gothmog, maybe some orcs and maybe even some regular Wraiths, before we get into the human figures. It'd be great to let them get the line up and running for a bit before we start slashing them to pieces with our complaints and photoshop comparrisons. :lol

I have some stuff to pay first but i'll surely buy him when he's in stock at bbts. The Witch King is one of the few LotR characters i like and the figure looks great! An excellent start to what i hope will be an awesome line!

Lets not be hasty:)

I'm excited for a 'likeness' character as well...but would gladly take a Gothmog next as well..

If I were them I would probably do Gothmog next unless I was sure that the Aragorn sculpt is fantastic. If they hit two or three figures out of the park I think people will be more apt to forgive a weaker likeness here and there and still buy it but if they start out with the weaker liknesses they might not get the chance to continue line.

Also I think Aragorn might prove to be one of the tougher likeness to create. Gandalf the White might be a little easier.

In general, non human characters always look better than human sculpts in this scale. I love the 1:6 Star Wars stuff from Sideshow, sand person, snowtrooper, bossk, IG-88, fett, dewback - they all rock. I wouldn't touch one of the human characters though. I think SS's line really failed in this regard as well - more baddies up front may have helped sales.

Toy Wiz just called me at work. They aren't going to change the order total. They were just verifying my shipping address. THey did tell me it is set top ship in July. Does that seem overly optimistic to anyone else?

Phew! :lol

Hey, glad the issue was taken care of. I just caught your earlier post and was about to let you know that it wouldn't be about the price!

As for July being optimistic....I hope not! We're going by the information we have :)

I really hope Asmus is making a Mouth of Sauron to go with this.

Ordered as well, didn't have to pay and just have to wait for the invoice ...if that doesn't work I'll give the monkey site a go :panic:

I did just receive an order confirmation, but not an invoice it say order by 10 june to be guaranteed an order so feeling confident

Just got invoiced with $30 pre-order deposit. :clap Animarket is one the best distributors of 1/6 scale figures in Aus.

Fingers crossed!

I'm gonna hold off a bit and see how the next one turns out.

I was very very bitter when SS canceled their line after that crapola fig Faramir. :lol I don't want to spend another dime on LOTR until I know for sure it's going to continue with the plan.

I aplaude the first effort and the list of projections.
