His mouth in the lowest part of the helmet is open in some pics and closed in other pictures. Any of you have noticed that?
In the film it is closed, buy I prefer it a little opened. What do you think?

If the helm is METAL as advertised, then I'm guessing there is some maleability to the helm...and you can probably do a little shaping to the fit you like. If its not METAL, then you may be able to do a HEAT trick to shape it the way you like.

From what I have seen I would prefer slightly open but since the helmet is supposed to be metal I hope its easy to bend without damaging the helmet or the paint on anything so you can tweak it to your liking.

besides bbts what's the best price and store states side to pre-order this from? bbts is no longer showing it so I am wondering if I should put in a pre-order somewhere else to to be safe and their offical distributor is just showing China and Taiwan as shipping options.

I went with Alter Ego... they still have RP, so you get an additional 2% back on purchases. I had some stored up so was able to get an additional $15 off of the WK :rock

To those that suggested the Toy Biz Gandalf belt for my figure thank you!! I won a full figure for .01 on ebay, 8 bucks to ship, and the belt looks great! I can now say that Gandalf is 100% finished. :)

I only mention it here because this was where I was turned on to the idea.

I was told that they would start shipping in EARLY JULY. That is directly from Asmus...

I think we will see them by August at the latest. The guys at As,us were pretty convincing on a July release.

I hypothesize three things:

1) They probably had a relatively LARGE lead time prior to full release of the figure to have SOME production already started so that they can release/ship the figure soon after official announcement.

2) They likely UNDERestimated the interest in the figure and are scrambling to meet demand...which may mean some figures ship in July while LATER orders will ship when production ramps to meet demand.

3) They probably underestimated production times and were optimistic that they could release in July and will likely slip to late summer.

Having said all that...they are still HOLDING to the early July release date. In fact, they told me if things go well in production, the release could even be late June...but since it is already late June...perhaps #3 above is starting to become a reality.
