I like the 1:6th scale figures but I think in the end its why I've never fallen in love with the scale. I set mine up and treat them more like Mini-PF's than I do figures. That's why my collection is mostly statues.

I change the poses every now and again but my are pretty static too with an exception of one or two right next to the computer. Those are changed almost daily.

That's too bad about the tape and the riding pose. Knowing that and the fact I don't have in scale horses I will avoid the sitting pose for him.

Based on the set-up for a RIDER...this is a show stopper for me. This is supposed to be an ACTION figure...poseable and re-poseable...and with ball jointed hips you darn well better be able to pose the figure SITTING OR STANDING...dang it all!
You're not going to pick it up because of that? I mean once he's on the horse the top heavyness of this shouldn't be a problem. I imagine if someone is going to spend the money for a horse and the time to bash it movie accurate they will leave the Witchking on it. And if you would take it off then I guess some futzing would have to be done with the joints.

Just my opinion but I think those of you who may cancel because of this will regret it down the road. The whole tape on the joints thing sucks but it's not a deal breaker for me.

Yeah, there are a few I change out once in a while but not many. :lol

I actually do the same thing with my 1/6 figures. I don't like to handle them and repose them that much. I actually jokingly refer to them with my friends as statues that you can pose.

Just got mine gave him a quick futz and he is awesome so much better than i thought he would be and nice and hefty with all the great metal parts.

Are they real metal parts? I had assumed they would just be plastic that's painted to look metal.

The helmet, normal sword and mace handle are all metal the rest of the armour, mace head and flame sword are plastic. I'm glad they made the entire helmet metal as those spikes would have been very delicate otherwise.

He has a nice heft to him and looks really imposing and tbh i dont think he could be done much better.

Straight out of the box he needed some futzing as a lot of his undergarments were all bunched at the back and needed pulling round the front.

I will still go ahead with the water treatment but tbh he doesn't really need it and the mud affect isn't bad at all in hand.

The body issue aside he is an amazing figure :)

I just got confirmation from my local collectible toys seller that my order for this has already shipped and is on its way! I'm very excited to get this as the in-hand pics are really nice!:yess:

I'd agree with Robbi also... probably a solution to a body that wasn't quite right for the release. Electrical tape is pretty stout stuff so it's unlikely you're going to have any issues with it over time... I mean I was replacing light fixtures in my house (which is over 30 years old) and the electrical tape used then had not broken down even after all that time.

As for the KP bodies, they do tend to have weak knees... not generally an issue for most figures, but anything with significant weight would certainly cause problems.

Electrical tape shrinks and will expose it's sticky adhesive.

Wrapping joints in electrical tape is uncalled for. Seroulsy. And they shipped that **** to customers??:lol

Yeah shipping them like that is ****ty.

I reckon they had a communication failure with KP and **** their pants when they realised the weight of the metal parts were too much for the body to support.

I'm surprised and disheartened by the electrical tape. I saw the pictures on eBay a while ago, but I refused to believe they actually used electrical tape to tighten up the loose joints. I will still wait for my figure to arrive, but a $160 figure should not have those kind of basic and uncalled for defects. Asmus really needs to send proper replacement bodies to their customers; it's not even like there are suitable replacement bodies on the market for us to use.

I've already made my opinion known in this thread. It's a ****ty situation but I will deal with it because this is a must have figure for me. I went ahead and sent Asmus an e-mail about the issue though. Will post on here when I get their response.

Just for kicks I'm gonna bug BBTS about this. If they get on Asmus' case, that will hold more sway than if we do as individuals. Anyone else order this with bbts?

Well if a bunch of ppl who ordered thru bbts email them about the concerns and say it is making us wan to cancel, then bbts will likely contact asmus and pressure them to fix the problem.
