I' m not sure I like the robes all matted down. It looks good, just different. I kind of prefer the robes dry and fanned out.

The only way I'd like it fanned out is if there was a sense of motion to the figure. Maybe posed like swinging his sword, walking or turning, wind blowing on him etc. But just standing there the rags hang much more naturally when matted down.

Great pics, guys! I REALLY regret cancelling him. Hopefully I'll be able to afford him soon.

Does it only take only one "water soaking" to get the robes to lay flatter... interested to know if anything changes after a few weeks?

I would think it would stay put after it's dried. Mine has stayed down. Some times things may need to be water treated twice for more stubborn fabric. I really tried to get potions of this rags as wet as possible because of the mud effect it has is really thick and stiff in places.

Heres one more with his mase. I''l try to get around to taking more 'artsy' type pics.

Hey guys I'm considering pulling the trigger on this tonight (that price is to good). Quick question though. Can you fit this figure into a standard detolf?

great looking pics. I also water treated and removed the sleeves when I received it. outstanding looking figure. one of my favorites atm.

I like this figure even more than I thought I would tbh. When futzed and posed he looks imposing and intimidating, ancient evil.

Figure is incredible. I hadn't seen LotR in a while, but this figure and Desolation of Smaug reinvigorated my love for it.

I may water futz mine a little bit once Gothmog comes and I can set up a real LotR displayed.

Did anybody else pre-order this from Super Power Collectibles? They've gone/been out of business for a couple of months now, and last time I've contacted them for my refund they stated they still couldn't give me my money back yet. Just curious if there are any other board members in the same situation as myself...

Yes, I ordered from them too and was told the same. I PM'd 2 other board members a month ago who also had mentioned previously that they ordered from Super Power Collectibles. 1 of them was in the same situation as us. Last I heard, Super Power was saying they'd get to it 'after the new year'. I should probably check in on them again. If you hear anything, please let us know too!

Yep. Pre - ordered & paid in full. Even if I do get my money back, I'll NEVER order from Canada again. There's utterly no recourse or punitive action I can take against them at this point...

I've read through the thread and it looks like its an overall positive consensus.

Its not without issues though. The main one being the loose joints. That's the biggest complaint I think. Mine were loose but not as bad as others I think. Mine can hold his sword straight up in the air. There many be other complaints but I can't think of any at the moment.

Thanks for the reply man. I skimmed through the past few pages and I like what I see. So it's settled...I will get this.

I love the fact it's so affordable.

I can now say that I'm finally done futzing with the Witch-King and am 100% happy now. The only things that I did other than water-treating the robes was:

- Removed & repositioned the helm and trimmed the inside of the hood slightly so the eye holes aren't blocked

- Stitched the two long (scarf-like) pieces to the bottom of each side of the hood opening so they hang down the front of his body like they're supposed to.

- Removed his head and added a piece of fabric that (I'm not certain if it's supposed to a part of the hood or not) lays across the back of his shoulders and goes about half-way down his back kind of like a short cape.

Here's some pics:
