I see everybody seems to be loving this game. So i wont try to break up the love fest with a rant. But ive been playing this game on and off for the last few days. Ive rage quit it once due to serious glitches. The game is riddled with glitches. I got to the end of chapter 5 and i literally just rolled my eyes, leaned over and knocked my ps3 off and put the disc back in the case. I just physically cannot put up with the mind numbing boredom. So i went on youtube, to watch the ending. And i must say im glad i quit where i did because if of been mortified that i forced myself to play through to see that.

I really enjoyed AC2, Brotherhood and to an extend Revelations. I stopped mid way through AC1 but this has really killed it for me.

There are a few glitches that I've encountered. For example, as I was climbing back down, I got stuck inside of a tree trunk.:lecture

I kept re-spawning after short cut scenes infront of enemies during gallows stealth mission on the 2nd sequence, when i was learning to hunt as young Conner half of the animals were stuck in the trees. Also, during the " hide and seek " i ran to climb up a rock and ran right through it! Theres much more ive encountered too. Like i would start a mission and as soon as the gameplay started id be swamped by enemies attacking me and its clearly not supposed to be happening because the guy id be with would be giving a speech

Just been able to get going in this since Hurricane Sandy left me powerless for five days. I just got done with Sequence 6 and that's with me restarting missions several times for trying to get 100% sync. I thought it started off very slow, and until the first big twist I was underwhelmed. It's picked up a bit..I'm liking the story and Connor alot. But...so far not as good as ACII. And now with expectations so high for the story I'm not expecting to walk away with a blown mind like I did back then. But it won't stop me from enjoying it.

Either way, I have noticed some glitches or some frustrating mechanics at times. Is anybody else having trouble using soldiers as humans shields? It tells me to press X and I usually just kick them or break their defense?

No problems with human shield here. Works like a charm and is funny when completed. Especially when you casually stroll up to the guys while they're reloading their guns.

Is it on PS3 you guys are getting glitches?

I got the Xbox Freedom edition and Xbox live loaded a patch the first time I put it in.

I'm on sequence 6 now and ...I don't know...7 hours maybe? Not one single glitch of any type for me. Maybe I'm lucky.

I'm on PS3, DNA Sequence 8 or 9 now and have only encountered 1 glitch so far, where a man wasn't moving for a cutscene but his weapon was.

Yeah, I'm just not getting the human shield thing. I looked online and apparently many people can't get it. I think it's a defect in many of the games because for some it's as easy as pie and for others they just can't do it. And I can do anything in these games I platinum all of the AC games so it's a bit frustrating that I'm not getting it. Tapping X doesn't seem to do it, nor holding it or spamming it. Even if it is just me and I'm a tard when it comes to this one thing (doubtful), then they simply should have made it easier. It's too harmful to just keep getting shot by 7 muskets whenever I can't complete the animation.

I love the look of the game and the graphics...but I haven't killed a famous person since I played as Connor's father so I'm getting a bit antsy. I still miss how ACII and Brotherhood had their little animated short stories for certain prolific characters. Sad to see none of that so far.

The best advice i can give for the human shield is to wait until you see the yellow symbol above the heads of the soldiers who are going to shoot and then press X, it only works if you are stood next to a enemy though.

Sometimes if you press X too soon Connor will "break defense" against the soldier you should be shielding yourself with which in turn can end up pushing them out of reach making it impossible to use them as a shield.

On ps3, game froze on me twice. If this was during a save, peace out save and possibly everything else on the hd.

.

I'm playing this game on PS3 since last week, and have encountered dozens of stupid bugs, IA problems. and glitches everywhere .. Anoying and frustating :(

I've been loving this game! I only played the first and second games to a small degree, I could care less about the whole Templar/assassin modern day story but thankfully there's more than enough in. This game to still enjoy it.

I never played assasians creed before but you can tell by the horsehair on the bow and the tomahawk and the american revolution setting that it was probablly stollen from one of the Indians from dances with wolves.

Dances with Wolves didn't invent the look or style of Native Americans you know...

Dances with wolves was a true native american movie it gives you as close as you can to the true native americans back then. Im saying that it was probably stolen because dances with wolves was also set in a american revolution time.

Actually Ubisoft made their own research into Native American culture for AC3 just like they did European culture for AC2. In fact AC3 got praise from Native American groups for a somewhat accurate and non-debasing depiction of their culture.
Anyway, both Dances With Wolves and AC3 deal with Native culture so of course they would interlap. Why reference a movie when there is the actual history and race.
