Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

Jumping through trees will be an interesting dynamic.

I would like a return to the similar format of Assassin's Creed 1. With all the cities attached to the "hub" (The Kingdom). However, I think once you visit a city the first time (unless some other storyline dynamic plays in), you should be able to fast-travel.

The debut trailer was awesome. A little cut 'n dry and obviously not as intricately detailed as some previous ones (then again I watched it on low-res X-Box Live) but cool nonetheless.

The leaks of the cover let the cat out of the bag.

Yeah that would be good IMO. Get back to the grand scale of things. All I know is I haven't been this psyched about an Assassin's Creed game since Brotherhood came out.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

Went to GameStop today to pick up Mass Effect 3 and pre-order AC3. Was surprised they gave you steel case as soon as you pre-ordered. it's pretty nice too.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

I would hurry, I live in a pretty small town and the guy at GameStop said they would be gone by the end of today here. So I would jump on it!

I went to my local Gamestop as soon as I saw your post, and I managed to get a steel case too! This is coolest pre-order incentive that I've ever seen.

If anyone wants one of these early, I'd suggest that you act fast. The Gamestop store that I visited only had ten of these on the shelf (from what I counted), and it might be the same for other Gamestops as well.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

Amazon also has the Steelbooks if you preorder, but you won't get it until you get the game.

Yup. I think it's because Amazon doesn't want to ship twice. But, it's weird that they'll have to keep the steel books in their warehouse for an entire seven months until the game gets released.

It's available now through Gamestop, and on the 10th for Best Buy.

Got the Steelbook too. Looks like Ubisoft is already getting the ball rolling on all the incentives and hype! I was surprised to see it!

Does this mean that any Collector's Edition of AC3 is going to come with the regular case???

Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

Rented Assassins Creed Revelations to catch up on the story, but my god is it boring! Nothing is happening, the story is really bland and the missions are VERY dull and repetitive. For those that have played it, does it eventually get more interesting? Ive liked all of the Assassins Creed games, but for some reason this one just seems uninteresting.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

I've only played about 3 hours of it, and I don't think the story is that bad. I just don't like the stupid den-defense missions.

Re: Assassin's Creed 3 announced

Luckily I only did one of those den defense things.

Certainly not repetitive like AC 1 was,i think the Ezio trilogy had alot more depth than AC 1 did, didn't feel like it was repetitive at all.

This game is slower and shorter than the previous ones, but i liked it.A nice ending to the trilogy.

It is worth continuing. I struggled initally with it.
The 2nd half the story picks up a lot.
