Does anyone else think it would be really awesome to play an Assassin's Creed game in Victorian England after this one?

That being said, Pirates? Playstation 4? Assassin's Creed? So bought. I just hope that the combat is a bit more AC II than AC III.

Guess I didn't get that far in the video! :lol

I believe it's in the last 3 minutes or so! I kind of predicted something like this way back in AC brotherhood when Desmond blacked out. I theorized that it was us, the player, in the animus the whole time reliving Desmond's memories of him reliving the memories of his ancestors. An inception "dream within a dream" if you will. Lol.

I Hope AC 4 revives the AC franchise for me after my bit disapointment of AC III, I Replayed All of the AC games minus III .. if it disapoints like AC III .. i'll slowly lose faith in this franchise

AC III was my first AC game and I really enjoyed it. The trailer for IV is fantastic; I don't see how they can go wrong with pirates, naval battles and all the other goodies they have shown. Really looking forward to this one.

I honestly don't see why people complain so much about AC3. I really enjoyed it overall, and thought it was a great game. No, not perfect. But still great IMO

AC II Remains the best

Ever since AC1, fans have been wanting Japan.
I remember the gibberish on the wall at the end of AC1 and the internet theories that the 2nd one would be based in Japan. :lol

...and I mean come on, its not like Japan actually had a real life equivalent secret society of invisible assassins or anything.... :slap

AC2 id wager is probably the best game on the current gen consoles. Im not an AC fanboy, im probably more in the casual fan zone as i only did half of AC1, and refuse to play any more of AC3. But AC2 hit all the right boxes, and then to follow it up with Brotherhood and Revelations and them Embers was a nice icing on the cake. Its like they knew they hit gold and didnt want to let it go.

I am really looking forward to this game. So much so that I decided to go back and play Brotherhood and Revelations. When those two first came out, for some reason I wasn't that interested. I think I was just looking forward to a time period change and an official sequel.

I've seen some high praise on the continuation of Ezio's story, so I felt I should check it out.

AC II Remains the best

This series is so weird for me. I skipped AC1, and went right to 2. I loved playing it - loved the settings, the gameplay, etc. I didn't really get into the story, though.

But as soon as I beat it, I had absolutely zero desire to ever play it again, or play another game in the series. AC2 is probably the best game I have ever played that somehow killed any desire to continue with the franchise.

But IV looks very interesting, so I'll be keeping my eye on it.

I must have been paying zero attention, though, because it feels like III just came out. I saw a couple threads for IV on various sites, and assumed it'd just be speculation as of now. Then I saw a commercial for it the other night and thought, "What the hell? That was fast."

I like how different these environments will be from previous entries. Seeing a lot of swamps and jungles. Has me a little more excited.

One of the chief designers from one of the other AC games is back on ACIV (He wasn't on AC3) and they have said that one of their main goals is to make the environments and cities look unique. So there will be key visual differences and you'll "know" your someplace that doesn't resemble every other place.

One of the main criticisms from AC3 was that New York and Boston basically looked the same and the Frontier was a little too bland.

They're even going to make the Spanish Main unique so that you're just not sailing an empty ocean. Meaning you'll see other ships, get attacked, see marine life jumping around (like the whale), might pass some crashed vessels, etc.

That's some good news. I kind of hope they throw in a few seafaring folklore bits in there, and have you encounter a mermaid or the kraken :lol

Farfetched, but I'd dig it.

I like your Kraken idea!! Maybe not a real huge supernatural Kraken like PotC but perhaps coming across a Giant Squid (maybe even washed up dead on a beach) would be cool!

The mermaid idea...ehh...it's a stretch but they could work it in kind of like those "mystery" Daniel Boone quests they had in AC3. Where he'd claim to see Bigfoot or a UFO only for you to discover it was something reasonably explained.
