I am only into him for Maximus and House, but that is still over $200. I feel really bad for him if this keeps going the way it is going. I have received some very troubling PM's from some members since I started this thread, and it is not looking good.

Sounds like another Les Walker, just without the drama and excuses. I paid for the Summer Glau heads and for the painting of them as well. You know what this place needs are some rules for the customizers. Sure ask for feedback, but no selling or pre-selling until the products are ready to be shipped.

His enablers were soliciting on OSW the same time they were over here, but got reigned in pretty quick.

Well at least Chris may deserve to be Browneye'd by ****** comments like this one.

Wow...
I just did a little search and here's a list of projects that people paid for and/or were in the development:

I counted once about three months and it was around 25 to 28 projects he agreed to do, don't know how many he took money for.

To be honest I really don’t think he’s intentionally ripping people here.
He’ll mostly post in a day or so with an apology… like he did a few weeks back with the Star Trek heads. And most everyone in this thread will forgive him and say “No sweat Chris, glad your back.” And this thread will be deleted.

So, Why doesn’t someone call the Duck people and tell them what he’s been doing here…I’ll bet he’ll take their calls.

its funny....this cash upfront SCHEME is supposed to be some kind of assurance for the customizer to get to your item sooner.

But in reality, by paying up front you took away almost ALL the motivation for him to actually get it done.

at the very least les came through.... this guy is just... ignoring us.

forgive him... HAH! not until members recieve some finished projects.... for instance I thought I had it bad yet some guys here still dont have his joker heads in hand... theres no excuse because those things were done a year ago

lMO, wouldn't be better to do a deposit than askin money before the project has started???

I mean, paying for a headsculpt before it is finished, would probably give the sculptor a less of a desire to sculpt it since he/she already got the money.

I think you are probably right. I still don't get that "Twinch Squad" feeling quite yet (I was burned to the tune of $300 on that one) but it doesn't change the fact that it's been too long, I'm just not impressed with his results, and I would like a refund. It should have been adressed back when i emailed him a couple weeks ago (and his email seemed to have still been working then)

you beat me to it.

:lecture

I am starting to think this really is the way to go in the future.

I would agree- either that or wait until the item is totally finished before paying. That way at least even if they scam you, you have time to put in a paypal claim.

OT:regarding paint jobs, sending someone the head should be enough collatoral to avoid the customer skipping on you.

At least one person who contacted me has been in touch with law enforcement in Chris's hometown for non-delivery of goods. I bet that guy feels ripped off.

I think we are beyond that. I don't think anything but hard deadlines, mailed packages and current progress photos for every project should be accepted.
