I wanted an Ultron focused story with aspects of Hydra and intro's of the new Avengers. I really don't care for IM3 or the Mandarin, and don't want to be reminded of the worst phase 2 film while watching what's meant to be the best one.

I'm right there with you as well. When I first read that part in the Q&A I immediately thought "I hope this is BS". Not what I want to be reminded of while watching AOU.

I have a lot of confidence in Whedon, though, whatever ends up happening.

Well we all know The Mandarin is actually out there if you saw the Trevor one shot. And I swear to god, if Coulson ends up becoming Mar-Vell I will probably throw a huge fit. **** that. I know they are just rumors but I so so hate the idea of Skye being Ms. Marvel or Jessica Drew as well.

Yep, the Mandarin needs to be left alone unless in an IM film, Coulson is not Mar-Vell no matter what they try to tell me and no way is Skye Ms. Marvel. Some real bs if true

I would be COMPLETELY fine with Skye being an Inhuman....but then she'd have to go through the Terrigen Mists and all that to develop her powers, IF she is an Inhuman. Ugh if they mess up Captain Marvel and Ms. Marvel, i'm already so worried if they mess that up. I can't even think about it without feeling scared or pissed. That's just something you do not meddle with or change. They're major characters!

Haha have you guys seen about the tumblr crowd (including myself) is somewhat pissed that Maria Hill wasn't named the new Director? Kinda makes me wish that Coulson was kept dead. Maria becoming Director is something I was really really hoping they would touch upon in the MCU.
