Re: The Avengers 2 (May 1st, 2015)
No wonder I didn't get any good hits from googling "nosferatu battlestar Thanos"

I don't know, it's like when someone acts like they're "blowing a whistle" by educating everyone that Christmas trees and Easter bunnies are NOT dun, dun, dun, from the Bible and instead have their origins in pagan rituals.
Avengers is a Hulk movie so I guess Avengers 2 will be the same.
I wonder if he'll pop up in one of the other movies in the meantime.
Nah, he needs his own movie now that they know how to handle him.

Yeah. We know. But that's not what they mean anymore. We like light-up trees, egg hiding bunnies and big cool guys named Thanos. The end.
After watching TDKR in IMAX now I regret not catching Avengers that way. It must have been awesome. Bummer that those supposed rumors about it being re-released (possibly with extra footage) in theaters to promote the blu-ray appear to have been false.
I'm too disappointed there was no re-release push to hype the DVD. I suppose there is time yet. Perhaps Labor Day weekend?
For bigger films, studios will sometimes boost there theater counts by several hundred screens for either last second profits toward the end of its run or as I said, help boost DVD sales prior to the DVD release date.
If Disney still does this, maybe TA will finish around 620 Million domestically.
There's always hope for a re-release if it gets an Oscar nod too.
Oscard nod? You mean for visual effects right? I hope no one could possibly think this is even deserving of a best pic nomination.
Though it would never win, I would like seeing it get a nod.

I'm looking forward to next summer when everyone realises how mediocre both movies are, but at least Avengers was fun.
Nah, it wasn't shot in IMAX. Thats why TDKR looked so good. Basically everything but dialogue scenes were shot in Imax.
For its genre, Avengers was better than just mediocre. It's certainly one of the best superhero movies yet.
Both The Avengers and TDKR are absolutely in the top 3 of all superhero movies ever made.
