Avengers: Age of Ultron (May 1st, 2015)

I never felt either way about him, just like Nolan, but the praise he's got was evident, and now I see more people every day calling him crap.

Maybe he's always been crap, I've never been a fan of him, but I think it's more just people coming down hard from the Whedon high.



I don't see AoU sucking, I see it being the same as Avengers 1, I don't see Whedon being innovative, but one thing's for sure, it's gonna be fun and entertaining.

Besides myself, I haven't seen anyone here call Whedon crap, I just think everyone prefers James Gunn and the Russos to him and would prefer they direct The Avengers films.

I actually haven't seen anything else Whedon directed besides a few episodes of the Buffy television show, but The Avengers wasn't a good movie in my opinion so I judge him solely on that film.

I think Avengers was a very good movie in many ways, it just wasn't innovating in many others.

I really like the design of Iron Legion drones. Very well done.
Now Ultron... eh. Hope he'd get something less complicated, more organic and menacing by the end of the movie.

I can't wait to see Hulk vs Hulkbuster, that's about the only part of the film I've gotten enough footage or clips of to get excited about, everything else feels pretty mysterious which is good.

I much prefer this version. It's creepier imo; the eyes in the film version are too beady, and he simply doesn't look that intimidating. And I'm still scratching my head over the teeth... WHY would they do that? I feel this is one of those times where they looked at a bunch of concept art and went for the worst, most generic of them all. It tends to work that way in the industry.

But I'll reserve judgement for when I see the film.

Also - is it just me, or is anyone else having a hard time keeping up with all these new threads?
