Yeah, everyone hates it, it's clearly the most hated upcoming movie of them all.

Oh wow, Ultron's voice sounds much much better in that video, seems it wasn't yet altered in that other clip, I'm glad about that.

Agreed, very robotic and not pure spader, sounds even better than some of the trailers, they probably kept working on it right up to the end.

You know how it is...

The worst part is that, he did nothing bad at all. I don't get why people here are hating on the dude. He did a great job on the First Avengers and looks like the did an even better job in AoU. When you think about it, Marvel just replaced Joss Whedon with 4 people. Replacing Joss writing with Markus & McFeely and directing with the Russo brothers.

Joss has his faults just like everyone else on the planet. Not sure why people are turning on him so fast. Must be the "too mainstream" crowd.

I don't hate him, I just don't think Avengers 1 was the best MCU film nor do I like how much attention he gives Black Widow.

I'll second this. Once I got over the nerdgasm of seeing all those characters together it was just an okay movie, I loved it but I've enjoyed a few other MCU films more. As far as the new one goes I'm not a fan of the fact that they made Ultron all jokey and quippy. I will reserve judgement though.

Yeah that could be my big criticism coming out of this film and where I won't defend Whedon against the inevitable barrage he's going to get after this film. Surely an AI should be relatively devoid of personality, certainly humour. It makes me fear they'll give him a Whedon-patented Comedy Dismissal at the end too - something he's done since his Buffy days - dispatching the villain in a ''funny'' way. They did it with Loki, they did it in AoS with Bill Paxton's character.

While that line does seem REALLY out of place... maybe just added for the trailer(hopefully)...
Joss did say he'd be a crazy ass robot.

I also third this, regarding the Black widow focus. She gets way too much attention in the MCU. I agree that the avengers isn't the best movie but it did it's job in beginning the universe. I just wish AOU was fun but also took some notes from Steven DeKnight's Daredevil. That style is really, really enticing.

Some of the reactions I'm reading from people that've seen it already have said Ultron is a big disappointment.

The faster he's out of this universe the better Marvel will be. I would have preferred if James Gunn took over for him but the Russos are still a major upgrade from Whedon, so I can't complain.

I'm not particularly crazy about Gunn either, he also became a meme director and his praise comes from the overhyped GotG that isn't actually a remarkable film now that the dust has settled, the Russo bros were the best option IMO.

From what I've seen in the trailers, I'm not surprised. Too bad, he had so much potential, but on the bright side, that's great news for DC/WB if they ever decide to use Brainiac. :banana Benedic Cumberbatch would be my choice.

I didn't love GOTG,, but I prefer his style of filmmaking to Whedon, the Russos did a good job for the first film, but I wasn't a fan of the constant shaken cam, and they don't really bring out the best performances from their actors. GOTG on the other hand really had a great soundtrack, great interaction from the main cast, and some pretty solid performances, I was especially shocked at how well he utilized Batista. Maybe because of the tone he established in that universe early on I was able to look past some jokes and cheesy dialogue. Overall though, I think it's definitely Marvel's funniest film, which is saying something since most of the films they're making are pretty much comedies.

That would be perfect casting. Isn't Brainiac rumored to be the main villain in Justice League?
