I was at the Riddick panel. A fan asked what his "vision" was for a possible future Marvel role. Diesel got a big smile on his face and ended up saying that "a big announcement was coming by the end of the month".

I remember Whedon mentioning this was to be the Empire Strikes Back of the trilogy especially in regards to leaving it with a dark ending. That was also when we thought Thanos would be in this though. I wonder just how much damage Ultron will cause and if any of the decisions made were a result of the way Black handled IM3's ending. Whedon also questioned something about how would he dig himself out of that one referring to IM3.

Man I wish you could see the video they showed leading up to the announcement. A bunch of different quote from Avengers like "we're not a team, we're a timebomb" and "I don't play well with others" etc, while showing several character symbols (IM's helmet, etc). I don't remember how it happened exactly but somehow they very gradually transitioned the picture on screen to Ultron's head.

That's when everyone lost their minds.

It wasn't anything very detailed, it was more of a graphic that was most certainly ultron. But they faded to it slowly so it took everyone a minute to realize what they were looking at. It was freaking awesome.

After it was clear what the image was, THEN the words AGE OF ULTRON came on screen to confirm what everyone knew it was.

Just for the heck of it I just tweeted asking a few people if Marvel will release the video. It's really cool, and shouldn't be anything that Marvel would want to be exclusive to convention goers, now that the word is out. Hopefully they'll show it.
