Yup, my Av/Sig can be confusing. :lol

Seems like most of the internal battles were more about scene placement and minor character involvement vs deeper thematic changes, hence why the movie still works.

I tried to watch yesterday but the whole place got hit with a blackout and they had to close the theater for the night, got some free passes from it and watched today instead. Just came from seeing it and I'm not sure how I feel about, I need to watch again to get a better feel of it. It's weird, as good as it is, I feel something isn't quite right with it.

I guess two things that I know bothered me was:

1 - The fact that Ultron demonstrated such emotion. I rather he was more robotic and plain (like in the comics) as a machine is expected to be.
2- That Vision was able to yield Thor's hammer. I mean, it was great way to demonstrate he was in our side and all that but I wish they had saved that moment for Cap. I would be a show stopper if Steve ever got to lift and use the Mjölnir.

I'm curious, Jye, what did you think of Vision being able to lift the hammer?

All and all, I liked it. Got watch it again for a more informed opinion on it.

In the comics, Ultron has ALWAYS been very emotional. He has the brain waves of Hank Pym. What's new in the movie is that he has the ability to emote with his face.

But I felt the same way as you the first time I saw it. I gave it a 7.5 my first viewing but after my 2nd viewing, I bumped it back up to an 8.5 maybe a 9. I completely got what the movie was going for. Fully understood each characters motivation and fully understood the plot. It was just so much to take in all at once the first time. I just wish the movie were longer.

Haha if you think Vision picking up Mjolnir is odd, then I wonder how you'd feel if they put Beta Ray Bill in Ragnarok. XD

Well, i'm ok with it, blew me away when I saw it happen, unexpected for sure.

He was worthy, his purpose was noble.

Don't worry, in Infinity War Cap will grab the hammer while Thor is still holding it and he'll throw them both at Thanos, defeating The Mad Titan single handedly :lol

Yeah, he's doing a lot of bitching since releasing the movie. I'm amazed he was given such a hard time after making them so much cash on the first one.
There is another part of that interview where he talks about Thor, the original sequence which he was forced to remove and how it nearly broke him. He got seriously beaten on.

I'm not surprised. No matter how big and successful a movie is, there's always someone out there, some studio boss or a board of directors, who has a running list of "improvements."

even 9 year old boys HATED this movie... :lol:lol:lol:lol

Oh My God looking for news about AOU is much more entertaining than watching the movie itself :rotfl:rotfl

this kid blows the movie away :panic:

BOOM!

Age of Ultron was not my favorite. I would not recommend it. The last time I checked on Rotten Tomatoes it had a score of 72. I would give it a 46. Maybe lower. Maybe a 39.

My point of view is that Thor ruins the Avengers. It doesn't make sense. If you had Thor, why would you bring Black Widow? Why would you bring Green Arrow [ed. note: he means Hawkeye]? What's this woman with a gun going to do? Why's this guy shooting arrows? They have a god with them who cannot die. A guy who is good at shooting arrows or a girl who is good at shooting guns wouldn't make a particle of difference.

A 9-Year-Old Wrote A Review Of

If you like movies about robots who make jokes, or movies about girls singing lullabyes to the Hulk, or movies about cities that float into the air for no reason, Age of Ultron will be right up your alley. It was not up my alley.

(There are GROWN men in the comments trashing the review of a 9 year old... Marvel fans having panic attacks, oh this is the gift that keeps on giving :rotfl)

Disney was right, the farm and dream sequences were terrible, weird, and so out of place IMO. I posted that to my friends the night I saw it. The cave was also bad though. You can tell the movie has issues and does not flow nearly as good as other Marvel movies.

I think the last thing the film needed was more characters added at the end lol. Just throw Spider-Man and Captain Marvel in there? Would have been major overcrowding.

I seriously cannot understand where Loki was meant to be added... in the Thor scene? wtf were they thinking? I can't believe it was even a possibility that Loki was going to show on here

The dreams were weird, but I thought the farm sequence was cool because is showed that Hawkeye is secretly a normal person...the ONLY character that actually acts like a normal human being :lol

And I thought man of steel was getting a lot of hate it's nice to share the love.

But yes this was not cut as well as the first.

The dream scenes worked extremely well, IMO. Didn't feel out of place at all. Gave us some insight on the characters and a little foreshadowing.

Really, click-bait articles count as news now? :slap

It was actually one of the best parts of the film. Gave us more insight on the characters' deeper insecurities and how it serves to factor into their priorities.

agreed. It was the Thor bath scene that was very random and out of place. They could've done something similar for the end of credits scene where Thor has a vision or whatever about the same thing.

not "news"

but i found it hilarious that not only could a 9 year old see the many problems this movie has,

but that a bunch of middle age guys were furious about the observations of a little kid just because he hapened to notice how badly written this movie is but they cannot accept it in their blind fanatism :lol
