They don't realize Hot Toys is a separate company. Instead they think it's a name Sideshow came up with for a figure line. Not the first time I've seen this mistake.

It's obviously for Sideshow. So like you said it'll probably be used for a PF or other statue.

I figured that Loki's staff was locked away in The Fridge after The Avengers. And was stolen after Ward and Garret busted open The Fridge at the end of Season one of Agents of SHIELD.

Really, after they busted into that place, just about anything could have gotten out or been taken.
