That's cool that EG's current BO of $2.751 billion did just overtake Avatar's first run tally of $2.749 billion.

So it most likely will always have the highest first release earnings of any film in history.

This isn't even a re-release, as the movie is still showing. It's only been out for two months. It's just a marketing push to help close the gap to Avatar. Avatar's initial run was 238 days. Today is Endgame's 63rd day.

Hulk was alledgedly part of a "three movie arc" (Ragnarok/IW/EG) that had him mostly Hulk in Ragnarok, mostly Banner in IW, and then a hybrid of the two in EG. Supposedly it was outlined by Ruffalo and Feige together and I'm not sure how much leeway the Russos were given with regard to his character.
