OMG I just read what Ropen posted that's just disgusting.

Disney should be ashamed of themselves.

Why tarnish an impeccable 11 year run with this embarrassing marketing stunt I guess a hugely successful 11 year run, 357 million opening and 2.7 billion was just not good enough to be proud about, shame.

What a disgrace.

Did it beat Avatar yet!

Just about to see it in Australia for this re release.. used a free ticket so I didn't have to waste cash!!lol
Got this poster for my trouble.

That poster is real? I thought it was something a fan whipped up in 5 minutes. Well....different strokes I guess.

hahahaah it probs was cause the re release was spur of the moment for sure.
I really hope my beloved star wars doesn't stoop so low with Rise of Skywalker to beat Avatar 😁

Saw the leaked footage on YouTube ..all three parts

Meh ..I’m actually disappointed..glad they told us what to expect in advance :lecture

I think if people go and see it should go because they want to see it again..not because of this extra footage :slap

I wouldn't have gone until I knew what I was getting. But IMO this is just *cringe*. Anyway I already blew money on Spidey tickets for opening day + swag. Marvel gets enough of my dollars.

The issue I have is the reason why they did this..just to beat Avatar..the problem is, word of mouth will spread and in this case ..it will probably be steering people and fans away from the new screening.

I saw it twice in theaters and hardly ever do that. I figured I paid enough for the theater experience and am just waiting for the home release. I will have to do a double feature with Infinity War. As far as the record it doesn't mean squat to me. I am glad the movie did well and I got my Bad Ass Captain America and Iron Man story.

Yep! :exactly:

That's pretty much what matters.

I am glad to have been a part of cinematic history from 2008-2019 and to celebrate and own the movies that span from May 2nd 2008 - July 2nd 2019.

That is quite an achievement one that has NEVER been accomplished before!

Real shame Disney decided to play in the gutter at the very end.

I'm not saying wanting to be number one and taking the crown from Avatar is playing in the gutter I'm totally OK with that it's how they went about doing it that really stinks!

Of all freaking studios they should've had an extended cut in their back pockets already for this eventual go at Avatar's record.

This is Disney after all not freaking Lionsgate.

Or just release one single commercial saying "next week Spider-Man experiences life after Endgame, now's your chance to see it one last time before the story continues!"

Didn't CM get a BO bump the same week as EG? And that was without any desperate tack-on gimmicks.

To me - for a major company to do that for such a *puerile* reason, if that's the reason - it's just dumb:pfft:. Like a big *&^% contest but grow up already. For me it's a turn-off 'coz the whole MCU was some kinda "organic miracle" - story is well-known - Marvel had sold of a lot of its rights off, and IM1 exploded onto the scene.

And then they'd try one thing, and another - different directors, different writers, kept getting the casting right, things that never should have worked did (like GOTG) and TWS becomes a game changer - amazing costume renditions and the world falls in love with the characters...

Getting cheap about it at the end - I dunno, to me it's just cringe. I'll get the End Game BR, but while the MCU was always corporate, started feeling like profit was more important than that organic storytelling. Really glad I was there for the ride, but the ending hasn't been what I hoped would be.

Guess Marvel will be at SDCC but ironically for the first time I'd just wanna ask Feige to remember DC when they tried to force things. Plus if u are gonna do a re-release geez make it worth the time.

The theaters around me were almost sold out last night for the added on version. Considered seeing it one more time. Then realized I’ll be able to watch it in my living room in a few weeks.
