Okay true, but they cheered for every character that, like, did stuff...

I will agree with those who think that IW is the "better" movie between it and EG. Just on account of the level of mastery required to juggle more than twice as many characters for so much of the run time compared to EG. I still prefer EG but yeah, what they pulled off with IW was even more insane.

Glad u said that 'coz so much bothers me about IW continue to be baffled why so many think of it as a "masterpiece". It's not wrong or right, but way different perspectives. I didn't think as far as character balance Marvel did a very good job, myself, among other things, in IW.

I thought EG was a big improvement - tho don't think either will be in my re-watch again and again list. Tho absolutely re EG don't mean that in a negative way. It's the "End Game" so it's just not the kinda film I pop in to re-watch, like IM1 or TFA. But, one thing I feel real positive about was the Russos doing respectful-to-the-fans end credits.

Didn't think about it, but the way that was done was really good, like acknowledging we'd all been on this epic journey together for years. That it was more than just a bunch of movies. Really appreciate the Russos for that.:clap

I'm sure this question has been answered already and I just missed it. I get that Cap is worthy so he can use the hammer, but what about Stormbreaker? How is he able to fight with it? Guy is way too overpowered in these movies.

Remember when 7 year old Gamora refused to run from Thanos and then Thanos was all impressed and said "wow I really respect you, YOU definitely aren't a loser."

In all seriousness though having just watched IW again the other day I made a point to make note of when it might have worked for Banner to change into the Hulk and burst out of the suit. Honestly I think they could have easily done it right when it seemed like they really were: Banner saying "come on Hulk, this is the last, last second. Okay screw you I'll do it myself!"

And then he goes on to fight off that big Black Order guy and send him exploding into the shield. I don't see how him changing into the Hulk would have been inappropriately uplifting when Banner himself achieved a victory at that moment anyway. Why not just show him fusing into Professor Hulk as he uses every ounce of his psyche to bring the Hulk out and then burst out, trade some punches with Black Order dude and kill him as Hulk at that exact same moment. And then have the rest of the movie play out the same with Professor Hulk charging Thanos to stop him from getting to Vision instead of him in the Hulkbuster suit.

I just think the writers/Russos overthought it and second guessed themselves too much and could have easily pulled it off if they wanted to.

:lol :lol :lol

Yeah Star-Lord was so overzealous to attack Thanos that the other heroes *wished* he was more of a coward like Hulk.

Interestingly, when someone cowards in fears, chokes in high stress situations, or simply underperforms to the point it becomes detrimental to others, it's now simply known as Hulking out, according to the 2019 edition Merriam-Webster.

It's possible - and this is pure guess on my part - that Ruffalo himself may have had some input in doing a more "human" spin on Hulk. I only say that because he seemed to be so supportive of Whedon e.g. sensitivity stuff and from an actor's standpoint it's probably more interesting to do stuff where u can act, than a motion suit. Same as Hemsworth wanting to take Thor in a different direction. Maybe.:dunno

That kind of thing may intrigue a director but may not be what a fan cares about. But I don't know - for me the Russos did stuff - suspect with input from Feige etc. - that surprised me. I still don't know how I feel about Professor Hulk. Uneasy, maybe. Like something should have been there re the character but wasn't.

I saw this Friday night with my older daughter and nephew. Between the three of us, we have amassed 23 theatrical viewings. Seeing that we were planning to go again anyway, the extra stuff was just a bonus. And though I realize a longer version of the tribute to Stan Lee will be on the Blu-ray release, when it finished and those words went across the screen ..... damn. I didn't think I had any emotion left for Endgame, but that proved me wrong quickly.
