Re: Avengers: Endgame (April 26th, 2019)

I’m actually more surprised the Rock hasn’t done one yet. I know he’s been in talks for Black Adam for a while but I think he’d be smarter to avoid DC and go Marvel instead. I just wonder if they avoid using these wrestlers to prevent the other ‘heroes’ from looking so small in comparison. I know the Rock dressed up as the Hulk one Halloween and looked pretty good with zero CGI :lol

Maybe they just want to hire people who are actors......

So apparently Feige is a huge fan of how Star Trek The Next Generation handled their season finale with a specific use of same multiple characters within a time travel anamoly routed in the theory of causality.

**** if I know I never watched it....damn treky nerds SW > ST take that lol

Yes Feigi has said that endgame took inspiration from TNG finale "All good things...".

I was just reading how Zemo’s divide and conquer really made things much more worse for the Avengers down the road.

Zemo was a great villain.

Which has me thinking now.

Zemo smirked at Agent Ross and said “Did I” after Ross said “You lost”.

Is Zemo involved in the time jumping scenario?

His “Did I” always puzzled me.

I’m thinking each MCU movie will have plot and dialogue connections to AEG that will make us go holy crap!

I thought it was slightly different than that - Ross said something like "your plan failed so spectacularly" and Zemo replied "Did it?"
Regardless, I always thought he was referring to the wedge he drove between Cap and Tony, the two acknowledged leaders of the Avengers.

Yeah that’s what I meant lol

I don’t know his demeanor made it sound like his success even though caught had bigger consequences.

Perhaps Zemo will be in the Bucky and Falcon tv show. Quality villain that doesn't require any CGI.

I love it that we’re getting his horned mask

I just don’t think they went classic enough with the modern design version of it at least give it the round chest.

Oh, I agree that it would be cool to see, but if you look at pics of the Mark 50 helmet, it looks the same ... especially at the angle in that promo art.

Batista doesn't seem to look that much bigger than to the rest of the MCU cast members but like Cena, he's a downsized version of himself. Rock on the other hand is bigger and more ripped now than he was during his wrestling days and at 6'5" he just might look too physically imposing next to the other heroes. Depends on the character he's playing I guess.

Imagine if ALL the Avengers and Guardians were facing Thanos on Titan. Or if all of them were in Wakanda. Each battle was one moment away from Thanos being defeated. Zemo paved the way for Thanos' victory. Damn...

I’m super excited to see how events from some of the previous movies get connected to EG.

We were lead to believe that certain actions were for a specific reason within their individual movies but it was for a long play strategy instead.

I can even see Coulson’s death coming back up as being connected to the long play.

I don't think actions that happened in films prior to IW will be considered part of the long play - if that were the case one would have expected them to be successful in the first encounter with Thanos. But maybe we'll find out that Dr. Strange actually manipulated events such that Scott was in the Quantum Realm when the snap occurred. Maybe he also went back in time and played a part in Carol Danvers's remembering her humanity (or something else that cements her becoming the hero Captain Marvel). Stuff like that I could see, but IMO weaving a lot of past actions into it would get pretty convoluted from a narrative standpoint. And if the remaining Avengers do travel back in time with Scott, I hope nothing is done to significantly change what happened in the prior films. Hopefully they just collect some of the Infinity Stones from where they were deposited at the end of those films before Thanos can get his hands on them.

But wait.... Civil War did not have any real dramatic impact or real consequences because nobody died and Cap left a note for Tony :lol
