Anyone who der what would have happened if Thor had gone to Titan instead of Earth? Would they have gotten the glove off? Would cap and friends survive their attack?

Did he know Thanos was on Titan?

In any case, even if Thor had been there, there was still the problem of Starlord losing his cool and ****ing up. Possibly Thor could have helped get the glove off before that happened, maybe?

Is Thanos afraid of Gods?

I know he kills Loki, but Loki is not a true God. But Thor is, and Star-Lord is half God. And Thanos seems to bolt away quickly from both of them -- twice he leaves Star-Lord without engaging and he slips away from Thor once all is done. There's also the line from Loki: you'll never be a God.

Is there a connection?

Loki always fancied himself a god but the original Thor movie revealed that Asgardians in the MCU are simply long-lived, high powered aliens (not too unlike Kryptonians.) It was humans from antiquity that assumed that they were gods.

Maybe killing a god affects the balance of the universe. He could have easily killed Thor and Starlord, but didn't. Then again, he didn't seem to kill unless he had to or was annoyed, like with Loki.

Well, I'm using the term lightly -- I almost used quotes for that reason. I could have also said indestructible rubber Marvel beings, and that would be totally accurate.

Possibly. Of course with them just being very strong aliens, then the balance doesn't matter.

But after watching this a dozen times in the last week -- :) -- it seems like Thanos deliberately did not engage Star-Lord or Thor. He escaped into his flashy stormcloud instead of punching, whacking or in any way striking back at an enemy who shot/stabbed him. I know a lot of people right off Star-lord because he's goofy and silly, but still.

If Captain Marvel is a "god" too, then there might be something there.

:lol

Which also applies to totally normal Earth humans like Tony Stark when the scene calls for it. I mean seriously Thanos skewered him with a blade thicker than his arm and he apparently just shrugged it off, lol.

Yeah, and Black Widow might be the biggest offender of a normal human taking a beating and shaking it off. She's got no shields, no super powers, no padding, no super-soldier-serum and no half-god blood. Yet how many times has she been thrown through trees, walls, and other things just to get to her feet with a smart-alecky response?

And then Thor's full god/alien mother dies after being poked with a small knife, lol. Just a goofy thing that you have to accept with the MCU.

It will be revealed that BW was given the super soldier serum just like in the funny books.

That elf blade was a god killer as all elf blades tend to be just not explained very well in the movie, yeah that sounds good lol

Well, Thanos didn't kill anyone in Wakanda either...for some reason. Only Vision, and it wasn't personal. He could have killed them all, turned them into bubbles or candy, but he just got them out of his way. He even let Stark live after making a deal a with a defeated Strange. It's almost as if his goal was more important than killing some ants trying to stop him. He wasn't very malicious either, he just wanted to achieve his goal and then relax. He's a good guy after all.

He does have his own set of ethics and morality.

Maybe Rogers gave her a "shot" of the super soldier serum in in winter soldier.

:lol :lol

LOL at Earth’s Mightiest Heroes throwing everything they have at their disposal yet still easily losing.

I wonder if Stark will now go back to a basic repulsor armor after having his super advanced nanotech suit so easily dismantled by Thanus.

Dare I say...

Thanos > TDK Joker

:chase

I'd be more afraid of Joker to be honest. Joker will trick you, betray you, and ultimately get you killed or badly hurt. Thanos on the other hand, seems to be more reasonable and you might be able to talk your way out of it, if you don't play games. He seemed to be a "man" of his word, unlike Joker. He's a villain because his actions and reasoning are so extreme, but even then, he's not interested in inflicting pain or suffering, which he could easily do.

He does have his own set of ethics and morality.

He does. In the beginning of the film, he was betrayed three times by Loki and Idris Elba, and only then did he kill them. Then, on Titan, Strange is all sarcastic and Thanos is being honest, then Strange tricks him...again. :lol Thanos is the type to not play games with people.

TDK Joker with all of his extravagant elaborate drama ended up being a nothing villain.

He caused the deaths of 2 DA’s, a vigilante wanna be nerd and a few mobsters and low level criminals.

Regardless if Thanos is easy going at certain moments he still wiped out half of the universe.

Thanos > Joker

When they say he wiped out half the life in the universe I take it that just means the sentient, intelligent lifeforms...

I hope that's not the case. Then all the "ash" from the fallen could really just be all the microorganisms falling off of their hosts (eww).
