Just caught CA:TFA in IMAX 15/70 with the kids. What a treat to revisit on the big (BIG) screen!
My kids didn't actually remember watching it all the way through before today (I probably showed it to them when they were too young) so they got the fun of experiencing it in IMAX 15/70 as if it were a "new" Marvel flick. It's been a while since I've watched it from beginning to end in one sitting and it really holds up nicely. Not a whole lot of films with black and white morals and a complete absence of left/right political preachiness these days. The score is still fantastic and the audio effects of all the machine guns and HYDRA craft were off the charts in an IMAX auditorium. And the Star Spangled Man number never gets old, lol.
Such a strong supporting cast. One of the deepest rosters of A-list acting talent of any cbm.
So much of the character framing in TFA is from the waist up so they are BIG on the big screen. A lot of the fights almost play like Rocky matches because of that. Awesome fun and a nice throwback to early Cap with IW being so fresh in everyone's mind. They've come a long way since those early Phase I Paramount days.
