Just caught CA:TFA in IMAX 15/70 with the kids. What a treat to revisit on the big (BIG) screen! :rock

My kids didn't actually remember watching it all the way through before today (I probably showed it to them when they were too young) so they got the fun of experiencing it in IMAX 15/70 as if it were a "new" Marvel flick. It's been a while since I've watched it from beginning to end in one sitting and it really holds up nicely. Not a whole lot of films with black and white morals and a complete absence of left/right political preachiness these days. The score is still fantastic and the audio effects of all the machine guns and HYDRA craft were off the charts in an IMAX auditorium. And the Star Spangled Man number never gets old, lol.

Such a strong supporting cast. One of the deepest rosters of A-list acting talent of any cbm.

So much of the character framing in TFA is from the waist up so they are BIG on the big screen. A lot of the fights almost play like Rocky matches because of that. Awesome fun and a nice throwback to early Cap with IW being so fresh in everyone's mind. They've come a long way since those early Phase I Paramount days.

Well, he wouldn't be the first one to get recasted. I find his take to be pretty funny on the character. It works well enough. But, it's not a the end of the world of they end up recasting because Bautista leaves. Doesn't matter to me.

I get Bautista supporting Gunn because he hired him but only to a point.

It’s not like Gunn wrote this sweeping epic for Drax, the character was humor fodder and not Drax the destroyer!

Disney has a list a mile long of muscle heads from the wrestling world, the stunt world and the sports world ready to play Drax the comedian.

Talk about career suicide.

Works super hard at creating a perfect body.

Gets once in a lifetime chance of being asked to be in movies to show off your perfect body.

Gets once in ten lifetimes chance of joining a massively successful first time ever connected cinematic universe!

Earning millions.

Blows it all away defending a person who made sick jokes about **********.

Ummm wut

:slap

There’s dumb.

There’s stupid.

Then there’s Bautista.

"Mommy why isn't Drax in Marvel movies anymore?"

"Because he didn't like that Disney distanced itself from people who made jokes about men having *** with children your age Timmy."

What an utterly bizarre battlefield to die on. I mean I get verbally supporting Gunn if he's your friend or wanting to work with him again at WB or Fox or wherever he ends up going but to forever link yourself to the controversy and utterly disgusting tweets in such fashion for no reason at all? Seems pretty stupid.
