What's amazing is that MCU is *still* milking the "OMG so and so on screen with so and so" aspect over *20 films in.* First we were blown away that the Avengers teamed up on screen. Then blown away that Spider-Man joined the group. Then blown away that two *teams* met each other (Avengers and GotG). And we haven't even gotten to the freaking X-Men yet. :thud:

And WB still can't properly unite the seve--I mean six, lol.

How they thought they could just throw them all together out of the blue and expect to have the same impact as the MCU is a mystery to me.

For me, Spider-Man coming into McU was a bit of a ho hum - the relationship with Tony is what kept me interested.

Spider-Man for me otherwise was suffering a bit of the overload I felt with Batman - wolverine will be the same for me. And the X-men to some extent.

FF on the other hand would be very interesting.

I like the Thanos is Obadiah theory. Maybe he was possessing Obadiah and impacting Tony’s world before Tony even realizes it.

Probably the same reason they thought hiring the guy who did the original Avengers to do reshoots would somehow make their movie just as good when in fact it had the opposite effect.

You can try and dress up a turd but it's still a turd..... Snider was a disaster for DC....

Correct, it would have been a disaster with or without Whedon involved.

On a side note, I love how everyone assumes the bad in that flick was all Whedon's fault. I feel like he gets a bum rap because the original Avengers is proof that he can do great films when allowed to do his own thing, but Age of Ultron turned out mediocre because the studio was breathing down his neck, and JL - well I already explained.

Yes Snyder ****ed the dc universe good . Making all depressing and dark and crappy. It’s anazing that people think that trash is good and Believe lex and that crap joker was from the comics

Did anyone see the leaked production set scenes for Avengers 4

Definitely looks like they are going to redo the Chitauri battle from the first film

Apparently there is a rumor going around that Andrew Garfield is the human torch. Idk how real that is tho

The only thing DC(!!!!) ****** is their own plan.

I extremly enjoyed MOS, BVS and also Wonder Woman and was so annoyed that they (must have) said to themselves: "Welp, that doesn´t work. Let´s bring in the guy that´s always gold and shove some color in this *****."

Which didn´t help. It just annoyed everybody, cause it broke the style, story elements from previous movies weren´t adressed and they ****** them over themselves double, cause they doubled the cost without doing something quality like MOS, but just tried to capitalize fast on Marvel´s ability to build a coherent universe and (maybe) thought: "Those guys are stupid. They eat it up."

If they would´ve taken it slower, maybe doing a new GL first, introducing space and the new gods, second tease Darkseid there and just would´ve REALLY fleshed it out and it would´ve become successful...they wouldn´t have taken the style 180 and no one would´ve ridiculed them.

But now? "Oh, that doesn´t work. Let´s make it colorful."

"Well, ****. That doesn´t work either...hmmm...let´s bring in Tom Cruise."

That´s not a shared universe anymore. It´s ******* shooting on a fun fair and they try out how to target best.

Every time I see Alison Brie's grumpy puss expression in that dumb costume, I can't help but think Marvel is about to make a suicidal error in judgement by destroying the good will created by the nearly perfect Infinity War...by foisting this joyless Mary Sue on us to "save the day" and "everything you can do I can do better."

Please god don't let them be as tone deaf as the Lucasfilm group. It will be heartbreaking to see them take the first 20 movies that have shattered records and are so beloved, and watch them stand over it and drop a big old Cleveland steamer in the name of forced "diversity." I pray the writers, directors, and producers have more integrity than that.

And if they don't? If they just can't resist poisoning the golden goose? I hope the audiences reject it more vocally than TLJ.

But then again, maybe it's just me. Maybe I'm just the bitter old man again. I suppose all of you "on the right side of history" really are looking forward to a snarky, joyless ***** coming in out of nowhere and single handedly stopping the greatest threat the universe has ever known without breaking a sweat, and calling Cap and Thor and Iron Man a bunch of loser grampas in the process. Oh what a glorious movie going experience that will be.

From what i’m hearing her be all end all to Thanos is just a distraction no different than the soul stone having to be in Wakanda.

No, there is another.

Ya’ll know who it is.

People are really worried she is gonna show up the avengers but I think the opposite. Marvel was always about team based stories and working as a team.

Star Wars ST from the moment it was conceived has pretty much stated that they want girls to rule and take over as front and center . Which alienated many fans.

I think cap marvel will be a major push in the movie but she won’t show up anybody. She will just have a Thor type moment

Rey would absolutely destroy Thanos and 'download' all his powers and master full use of the IG in an instant.

Then she'd fly his ship to face Galactus without knowing how to work the damn thing. You know this is the truth. :lecture

Just read an article about Captain Marvel that suggests some of the heroes in Infinity War may be a skrull in disguise.

I’m sure that will be the case which is still a better scenario than the alternative which is to just cheaply using the time stone lol

You know I do hope that the alpha men of the world who keep women chained up in their basements at least have the decency to show them how to appropriately create a cinematic feminist character by feeding them a healthy dose of T2/Aliens/ANH viewings on a continuous loop.

Well Samuel L Jackson shared an image of him in a face cast months ago, leading people to believe they may be setting up Nick Fury as a Skrull.
