Not sure if this is an error or not, but someone on Facebook posted about it and it shows this will be in stock again in September with 7 left. If you want one, I’d take a chance that this isn’t an error and order it. Best price you’re gonna find until they reissue it.

Wow - I took a look when you posted this. I wasn’t going to buy one (already have it), but there were 4 in stock. Finished my bagel and checked again and they were gone.

I’d imagine they weren’t lasting long once word got out. I ended paying rape price with Paypal credit giving 24 months interest free not too long ago, but I was still inclined to buy another set to keep in Lion mode. Just wait until the reissue for that though. $450 isn’t bad price now though. Hope people who missed it snagged ‘em all.

MSRP is the most I'll ever pay. $450 is downright insanity.

A reissue will happen, just a matter of time.

Eh,

Godsigma is being reissued at the same price, but yeah, with this being as popular as it was, I can maybe see a bit of a hike in price, but I'm sure it will still be less than $300 after the PO discount and amazing Amazon Japan price.

There's simply zero need to pay $450, even if one literally craps $$$.

I just think it’s one of those things where if you really want it right now and don’t mind, then it’s a good price. If you can wait, you’re probably better off. Having paid rape price(even with a good Paypal deal and the dude being in my area to grab it and see in hand), I’m in the boat where I’d say it was worth it because I love it. Hands down best Voltron you can buy. But patience will also pay off as you know the reissue is inevitable. Too popular of a set for Bandai to pass on double dipping.

Well, sure Voltron is popular in the west....but is Go-Lion really THAT popular in Japan? Just another big robot to Japanese audiences. I doubt it's the most popular toy they've ever produced.

Finally got my Super Minipla Voltron from BBTS. It’s really cool. Many different options.

I got mine the other day, but haven’t had a chance to put it together. How long did it take you? I never put any models together (at least not well). Are you supposed to file down the areas where you break the pieces out of the mold?

Yes. There are chads that are left in some spots but I’m pretty handy with a razor blade so it was easy for me.

It took a while. I’d say maybe 4 hours to get it all together and put the stickers on but it was a labor of love for me so I didn’t mind. Plus I wanted to make sure the edges were clean. This pic I just have the standard(smaller) heads of the lions on instead of the larger inflated ones. I like both looks but I think I prefer the smaller ones. It’s good that it gives you both options.

So many accessories and ways to display it.

I love this kit so much I bought two, so far, the SDCC exclusive with the blazing sword effect piece and the Golion version from japan. Probably gonna get a third kit and paint up some of the details like inside the lion's mouths. The only painting I did here was I shot the jaw blades with silver spray paint. The model is super easy to build and looks fantastic with just the stickers.
