It's tonycheung. The guy who sells a Iron Man figure for $700 and sells a bunch of it at that price. Says this will be in stock in HK in two weeks, so I imagine when it's out and gets sold out in SSC, someone desperate enough will drop their wallet for it at that price.

Its probably the dimensions of the box that are the main factor in the shipping expense but I wonder if not providing the shield thing would have made any difference. I personally would never use it. In fact if the shield is packaged separate from the car it would definitely be adding to the box size and not just the weight.

Considering it slips over the vehicle, I doubt it takes up much space.

I think that's part of the shipping expense. Hot Toys may have had to reinforce the chassis to support the vehicle's weight, especially given its long design that would put pressure on the area between the front and rear wheels - especially with Batman in the driver's seat. I'm personally hoping they did as a little heft will go a long way toward it lasting the test of time and feeling more substantial in hand.

Too early. Tony says it'll be in stock in two weeks, but that's HK so you have to add a month to that. So an estimate would be 6 weeks from now it'll hit the states.

Middle of August is my bet.

Sideshow has received things in less than a month, even after it hits Asia first.


It wouldn't surprise me if Sideshow sent a charging notice in a week or two and we got these by the end of July/beginning of August. It's certainly possible.


Either way, we'll have in hand pics in two weeks or so.

It will be a wonderful surprise if this blows the Tumbler away in plastic awareness.

Tumbler looks exactly like the material HT used to make it.

I hope the fit and finish of this car makes it look exactly like the materials Batman used to make it.
