I've got a 51" wide by around 24-28" deep custom cubby/shelf waiting for it. Need some kind of plexiglass to seal it off though.

What I would love is a battery mod so I can run something from the battery compartment to the power outlet. That way I could have the Batmobile lights go on when the main display area lights do. To be researched.

Still shocked to get the email. Didn't expect it for another month. We still don't have in-hand Hong Kong pics.

Great news guys! Batmobile is on the way! Got my processing email from Sideshow and my account will charged on the 16th and shipped a few days after that! Wasn't expecting it so soon as I thought we'd see the working batmobile at this months SDCC first. Can't wait!

Confirmed shipping to the UK...$108! Ouch!!

The only bad news to the Sideshow email is the astronomical shipping charge is intact. Will be interesting to see if BBTS revises their shipping upward once they have the product in hand, which the checkout page says they are entitled to do if necessary.

Oh yes!
What I'd love to know is what the heck is creating such a hefty weight?? Is the car made of plastic or die cast? Maybe the shield is die cast and the car is plastic?

At the end of the day it is a high shipping cost but it not something I'll lose sleep over...

Yes, 100% I will. But have you seen the prices on ebay? And the shipping costs?

I just got quoted $108 dollars shipped to Ireland, so even with the duty/fedex fees that's a lot cheaper than ebay. And with a package this size there is a good chance I could get stung for duty anyway. I tend to get away with most shipments even the tumbler, but every now and again I get stung.

Honestly I was expecting a massive shipping cost from SS so this kinda counteracts the fees.

Advantage Batmobile. You're assuming double the value for Mark VII BD just to bring it even with Batmobile at retail. If judged by an investment standpoint then there's more room to grow with Batmobile. Plus it's massive and would run over Iron Man in a showdown
