1/6 Batman 1989: Batmobile Collectible Vehicle - Specs & Pics

Well, I don't have to worry about the shield. Covered the important parts with some old left over foam from years old boxes. Not pretty but does the most important thing. Protects it. No plastic contact.

Took the shield on and off 4 times with no marks. Just a lovely "vacuum shhhh" sound when placed.

thx, i'll check it out. I saw the table is $300 alone though , too pricey with the add on's it will take I think. I would have to have someone build me something.

Has anyone done either of these things?

1. Customised the on/off switch to move it to somewhere else, or replace it with a remote control on/off device?

2. Mounted the Batmobile vertically on a wall?

I am not going to display the shield. It's too cheap looking I think.

Hey Eam, dont disagree with you in regards to it feeling cheap...would have been nice to have had something a bit less flimsy as a protective shield but i do quite like the look of having the shield on my display. I havent altered mine in any way or added more foam to it and yet i've had no resulting scratches or marks each time i remove it. I think when the lighting catches the shield it really brings the display of it to life! Then again, the wait for you is almost over so you can decide for yourself

I really want this but I'm worried about all the reviews with the scratches and scuffs. I know it's not on everyone but still damn. This would really go great with my DX08 DX09. I like to hear what some of you think.

I really think that the 1st wave have this issue... they now put a plastic bag or something like it between the car and the shield. If you really want it, go fot it, ... you know

I just talked to SSC and they personally check for quality of the vehicle and place the plastic on it for shipping that really makes me confident that buying this I won't be disappointed with it .

Yep!, mine arrive to chile that way... some hits on the box, but zero scratches, so I think you will be safe

Has anyone build a custom case for this I remember seeing one a few weeks ago . I have been going backwards for a hour now and cant find anything . Or if you have made one and are kind enough to share the specks and info on it that would be great.

This thing is so amazing no words describe it. The Scratches and Scuffs are scary but still I really want this. I know I missed out on the 89 Batman sadly and don't feel paying high prices for him so hopefully Hot Toys gets the Return Batman out soon. May just get the car if so. Just love it.

You've got to have a Keaton Batman to go with it. But you'll get your chance eventually with the Returns line whenever HT decides to pull their finger out. So you'd be best buying this now if you really want it.

I know I need the Keaton Batman and I do really want this. I know I can always Display the Batmobile next to the SS Keaton Batman PF once that goes up for order and ships. That may look nice I just don't know when Sideshow or Hot Toys will be releasing them so may just get the car to have displayed.

I'm definitely going too. I think it can be a stand alone piece and look nice next to anything. I think the new SS Keaton Batman PF will look nice next to it. Even the Return version will also once Hot Toys decides to release the order.

I ordered mine today. Specifically asked that its checked for scratches scuffs and glue on the windows and that some bubble wrap or plastic be put over the batmobile before its shipped. They say okay. Now I just need to find a custom case.
