Looks legit. Were you there to see it in person?

Yeah.

I definitely prefer the matte metallic look from the first film. Returns is pretty good too, but too much gloss makes it look a little cheap to me. I'm happy with the direction Hot Toys went in. They could have really botched it.

Yeah, was lucky enough to see the exhibition preparation in Hong Kong, now open at Time Square, Hong Kong Island.

I wasn't too impressed too, because of the glossy finish and it also felt slightly undersized. Still cool to see in person :)

Thanks for posting the pics here and in the Tumbler thread. I understand why you wouldn't be impressed. These are the worst "official" promo replicas of these vehicles that I've ever seen.

Yeah sure it's not a car used on the set, none an official replica. Awefull front headlights apart, it really looks like a 1:1 hot toys version. Look at the canopy shape, the side pipes, the too much exaggerate circular air inlets with their silver finish, the too bright silver rims or the too round noose... It's disturbing.

The real car:

Finally paid mine off today should have the beastmobile this week! Putting on my partyman cassette to celebrate this day.

no they didnt clone the HTs. most likely that replica is several years old. theres a lot of them out there. im sure a lot of you have seen this, but incase you havent Comedian Jeff Dunham has a screen used Batmobile and its in immaculate shape because he fixed it up. Now this is the 89 Batmobile :)

I'm not 100% sure that's a real car used in one of the movies.
The air inlets above the afterburner seem too small:

Real:

The fins of the front turbine seem not accurate:

And the interior of the cockpit seems really different and smaller from the original. Look at the seats or commands.

But maybe am wrong!

The one in HK is definitely based more on the Hot Toys one than any screen used model. Look at the front wheels. Those are not real Mickey Thompson tires (or any brand tires) they are blown up version of the simplified Hot Toys one. Hub caps design and coloration? Hot Toys style. Side piping and scoops? Hot Toys. And the real tell, it's really subtle, that seam on the front fender that connects to the headlights at a right angle. Doesn't appear on the real cars (like your Dunham example), but where does it appear? Hot Toys.

I HATE the interior of Denham's Batmobile. The steering wheel and floor mats look pretty tacky.

I'm with DarkMagic on this one. The shape and look of the front headlights are identical to the Hot Toys one. This and the Tumbler look like 1:1 versions of Hot Toys' product, which is sort of cool in itself I guess.

Well he purchased it as a "Screen Used", but he fixed it up because he said it was in rough shape.

I highly doubt someone built a replica based on HTs. I would think this replica in HK is several years old. There are tons of them out there, people have been making replicas of it for 25 years. They probably found someone local who had one to rent it out for display. My friend who built a Tumbler does it as well for local events.

I would agree the Tumbler at HK is pretty awful replica as far as accuracy.

I can't get over how soft the curves are on the front bodywork and the curves to the headlights. So many things really cause the Hot Toys model to look wrong.

Look at the lips below the lights rather than the lip on the real one. Plus that strange pointy odd part right at the tip above the lights in the corners.

A batmobile would honestly have to have something glaringly wrong for me to notice it like spinning rims or something :lol

You have a friend with a tumbler? Does he have any pics?
