I emailed the guy at the shop. He's not an expert regarding Hot Toys figures, but he told Sideshow what I had explained to him about how the pins are supposed to be permanently affixed to the figure because the cape isn't removable, but I guess they just sent the pins anyway. When the replacement pins come in, I'll go in with the figure in person to try and show him what I'm saying and hopefully that'll help resolve this. I'd think they would just send a replacement body and have me destroy the original rather than damage a replacement figure's body by removing those pins.

From this photo (not mine) it looks as the gauntlets can be removed:

However for the shoulder pads, they seem to be attached to the chest plates/midsection:

Might be a dumb question, why not jump on the prestige release? Just not a fan of the gold symbol?

I had the original sold it a few years back. It wasn?t that great of a figure more a statue. When they put batgirl up for order it motivated me to get the prestige version so I can pair the two. Looks nice on a shelf. Same with Arkham Knight, I hated that character, that was actual cool figure just couldn?t stand the character.

As I'm in the same boat with him, for me it's just a case of wanting the actual in-game Batman instead of a variant. I'm gathering the cash to buy one from eBay at some point. I know about the figure's problems, but I keep mine in boxes anyhow. Prestige looks nice and all, but just as I wouldn't buy Beyond or Futura as the main Batman, that won't do either. I could compromise and buy an Origins one if it was announced, but I want a "proper" Batman to have in my Arkham Collection.
