Just reached a point and I wonder if it will affect the ending or the story somehow?

the part where you choose to go after Catwoman or Barbara. I haven't chose yet but I'm leaning towards Barbara, it's our fault she's in this mess and Catwoman is more capable Of handling herself. I wonder if one of them will die? This game seems darker than the previous ones.

Im going after CW, cuz well, you know, she gave up the kitty :lecture

Loving this game.

Anybody else hearing a little Vincent Price in Scarecrow's voice?

I keep hearing Walter Bishop from Fringe and Denethor from Lord of the Rings since it is John Noble voicing Scarecrow. :) The man has a great voice. Also funny hearing Mike from Breaking Bad whenever Gordon talks.

Got the game yesterday for the PS4 and wow the graphics look great. In the videos it just looked like another Batman game to me but the details really pop when you see it running in person. The weather effects are outstanding and the vehicles really have a realistic weight and quality to them. I have not advanced very far in the game yet but graphics and story telling are great so far.

I played a Riddler race last night and almost threw my controller. I eventually started to get the hang of it but getting used to the Batmobile controls is going to take some work. I'm slamming into buildings on both sides of the street every time I have to make a tight turn. Surprisingly I kinda like the tank battles, though I can see them getting repetitive.

I've give up on the game. Its just not my kinda game ( got it because i got it with a ps4 console bundle and i needed the console for other games )

I just dont like the feel of it. Ive also only played the demo for Arkham City. I just dont like the feel of walking at a snails pace, then travelling 40ft punch-to-punch in combat and then moving at snails pace again. The entire game felt somewhat like you were escorting the batmobile around ( which handles like trash unless you are in battle mode ). Too many batmobile-tank battles.

The story was interesting me, and it looked great but ill just get my fill on youtube watching other people play it. Its just not my style of game.

Once you become familiar with the controls the batmobile is a blast to use. I think it handles perfectly.

I'm almost finished with the game (played the story only) and I think it's a pretty great game all around. It's the perfect batman simulation, and it's definitely my favorite of the Arkham series. The story is great, the pacing is great, the combat is incredible, my only real problem with the game is they switched up the challenge maps. They let us play with all these other characters for a bit in the story but we can't use them in challenge maps is extremely disappointing.

So far it's easily my game of the year and the first game I've played on my PS4 that I feel really shows what these consoles are capable of.

I initially had issues with the Batmobile and some sections almost had me gave up in rage. Some of the tank battles just goes on an on! However, once I accepted that and properly learn to master the car, it's much more enjoyable.

I'm very close to finishing the story but I'm savoring it in favor of the side missions and upgrades, especially so that now I know who the Arkham Knight is. Overall, this is the best time I've had with a current gen game.

Batmobile became waaaay easier to control once I changed it in settings to the standard RT - forward, LT - reverse controls. I think by default it's square to reverse? Change the control scheme if it's giving you trouble, handles quite naturally for me now.

Pretty pleased with the game overall - bit disappointed that certain characters aren't in it, but I love what's there. Just got the Riddler trophies to track down, then I'm at 100%. And I'll start New Game+ and do it all over again.

I actually haven't found out his identity yet, so maybe I'm not as close to the end as I thought :lol

I love the challenge of fighting all those tanks. Maybe that's why I'm loving the game more than most but it's extremely fun to me.

I did the same, makes controlling it a whole lot easier.

That's a good idea. I'll change the settings the next time I play.

Were you able to level up the Batmobile enough w/o getting XP from the side missions?

I can't get past the 1st AR mission! :slap

When does that control scheme become available, I don't see it at the start of the game.

You get upgrades later on that help out a lot that's part of the story. I recommend upgrading the armor for it, that's all I really upgraded on my batmobile.

I think that control scheme can be chosen after you finish the first AR mission :lol

Should be in the gameplay options.

Crap. :lol

I JUST BEATEN THE STORY MODE! Whohooo!

However, you definitely need to 100% the game in order to get the real ending. Time to do those stupid Riddler challenges. :wave

I've been farting around thus far. Looking for the 2nd fireman on Beak (Bleak island), and can't find him. Assuming I am supposed to be in Detective mode, but its a little frustrating. As for Batmobile, definitely change the battle mode to the ALT - much much much better

As many a Bat-Fan will know, Rocksteady's titular finale to the Arkham videogame saga released this past Tuesday, but with a somewhat odd feature being omitted from the game.

In the previous two releases challenge maps had formed a big part of the overall content package of the titles, so it's easy to understand why so many people were rather baffled at their premature dismissal from Knight's package. The maps added a sense of competitiveness to a largely solitary experience and allowed players the chance to replay different maps with their favourite characters from the Bat-mythos - who often even didn't get a chance to shine in the main single-player story.

It's frustrating in particular as Rocksteady Studios, nor their publisher, made fans aware of their decision to axe this particular staple of the franchise. It can of course be said that the content is made up in the amount of side-content for Knight's main proceedings, but it doesn't take much to repackage areas of Knight's map into challenge areas - as both Asylum and City showed rather easily.

It is also understood that AR challenges are meant to replace challenges, but they pale in comparison as they can only be accessed by Batman. Red Hood, Catwoman, Nightwing, Azrael, Robin and Harley Quinn are only playable in Dual Play or their meagre DLC offerings. It goes without saying that this isn't as satisfying as one would hope.

We hate to whine like this, because at its core Arkham Knight is a fantastic experience. As a studio, Rocksteady have worked incredibly hard to bring this release to us, but a lack of explanation coupled with a very aggressive DLC plan is making players rather uncomfortable, especially as one of the pieces of DLC is actually being referred to as the 'Challenge Map Pack'.

We would like to know why the decision was taken to remove this element from the game, ask that Rocksteady reconsider their inclusion as paid DLC, and instead make them a piece of free additional content. We know this is a lot to ask, but Challenge Maps were a key part of the series and their omission has left a great amount of players disappointed.

Until a response is given, we would urge others in the community to refrain from purchasing the season pass and ask them to raise the issue wherever possible on Arkham social media and the forums itself.
