I don't think Black Mask was ever actually locked up in the prison. In the character bios, it says that Sionis has never been been convicted.

No, the real Black Mask wasn't in Blackgate. But that's my point, there WAS a Black Mask (Joker) in Blackgate at the beginning of the story, since he breaks out.

But did the police or wardens not bother to check who he was? They just imprisoned him with the mask on?

I will say this:

As much as I love the Joker and realize he's Bats main baddie itd be nice if a different villain took center stage with each game, that's what I thought was going on with this game and Black Mask....gotta admit I love the story but I'm kinda disappointed Black Mask wasn't the "true" villain in this game.

:lecture Me too. I even said the same thing when they first announced this game with Black Mask in the video.

Ok the bugs in this game are SERIOUSLY annoying me now!!!

Last night I beat Deathstroke on New Game Plus, did the whole chat with Penguin thing, then waited for the spinning save circle to finish and quit the game.

Today when I load it, I'm right back at the beginning of the Deathstroke fight. Wtf??? To make it worse he keeps kicking my ***. Like it's on extreme hard mode or something!

I just got stuck in the wall.

I hope you guys are sending these bug pics and reports to WBgames FB page or their site.

I barely beat it (great story), and have already traded it in. I might do another run when this game gets all it's issues fixed and gets cheaper in price.

Question to those who have a glitchy game, are you guys using the newer, flat ps3?
I've seen this happen on several games before, where the game is almost unplayable on newer ps3, but hardly any glitch on older models.

I have 1st gen ps3 and I finished it last night with no glitch.
Well, aside from sound cutting off when I do fast travel, but that's not a something I would bother with, that's not a game changer.

I'm on 360. This isn't the first glitch either. One time I knocked a guy about 20 feet up in the air with a spin kick hahahahaha.

Lol, damn, that's a nice glitch. The developers would have had a nice chuckle to see that. :lol

I guess I just got lucky.
I remember the same incident with the star wars the force unleashed 1.
It was a great game that got overshadowed by many who had a glitchy game.
I only had one glitch on that game, and I remember some people thought it might not be the game but the system's models cause the ones having problems were the newer ones.

I do hope they fix the issues quickly for those having problems cause this is a great game, but reading in other forums, the game is getting overshadowed by people having glitches.

Nop. Mine is an "old" PS3 Slim (2010)

You can find all these ****ing glitches and bugs on PS3, 360 and PC... however, it's true that each patform has its own "exclusive" and unique glitches

For example the PS3 version has those massive slowdown and audio cuts when you use the fast travel feature.(Not sure if it has been patched and fixed already because I refused to keep playing this game a few days ago :()

The Wiiu version does'nt have or shares almost any bug or glitch, and the funny thing about this, is that this is the only version that has not been developed by WB Montreal (Human Head Studios instead ) :dunno

I haven't had any issues other than choppy frame rates when there's a lot of stuff going on onscreen. (knocks on wood)

The WiiU part is hilarious in the sense that it probably has the smallest audience, yet has the best product from what you're saying.

Finished the game last night.
I'm impressed.
For me personally, this was the best of the three.

Really enjoyed the story.

I wholeheartedly agree. I enjoyed the story immensely, and felt like it was a good mash-up of many different versions of Batman as opposed to simply aping the animated series like the previous two did. I loved how Batman was raw and brutal, and sounded like he could and would cripple a fool. The story was very focused and didn't meander like AC, and it always had a clear end point in mind. AC didn't. The characters were all spot on, especially Bruce and Alfred's relationship.

One thing that really made me enjoy the world and all the side stuff is it felt integrated into the story, as opposed to putting Batman in the odd position of being poisoned and having minutes to live but still finding the time to go check out that bright glowing question mark over there.

Exactly man, they touched up on many things that made Batman great in the comicbooks, not just the movie.
This batman really seemed angry, and great example on the Batman/Alfred relationship.
That was a great touch showing them really arguing...and then after you have left the batcave, in the middle of the mission, Alfred calls him up to apologize. That was very cool!

Once the game started to pick up, I couldnt put it down.
It had all the elements I wanted to see in the first two.
Much like a lot of people, I had reservations having a different developer make the game, but personally speaking, I think they have succeeded in picking up where Rocksteady left of, and adding many touches to make the game even better.

Also, since I love Christmas, I love the whole atmosphere also, and its nice to hear Christmas carols playing in certain areas.
Gonna definitely have to play this again around Christmas time. :)

Update regarding some of the bugs people are experiencing:

I'll add that a Batman game featuring Carol of the Bells gets more love from me than a Batman game without it!

The entire soundtrack rocks!! I'm definitely gonna recommended playing this around the holidays. I might not this year because I think I'm gonna be burned out at that point, but damn this game is awesome.

I think the multiplayer's underrated, no it's not the best but it's also not the pointless waste most reviews have labeled it. It's ridiculous that nothing has improved from when I played the beta a couple months ago and I don't expect most people to put up with waiting sometimes 40 minutes to get into a match just to have it hard-freeze your console halfway through the round; hopefully the patch fixes this stuff so more players can get into it. But technical issues aside, it can be really fun once you get the hang of it.

At the start, it's extremely frustrating and the gunplay is really bad until you get the assault rifle, at which point it's serviceable (protip: short bursts have a huge impact on accuracy), but I just had a match where I went 15/4 as an elite and it's really gratifying when you get on a roll. Playing as Batman & Robin introduces a whole new challenge and executing stealth takedowns on real people takes the sense of accomplishment they provide to another level. Going on a rampage as Bane and Joker is insanely fun and makes me wish they had a mode where everyone plays as supervillains.

It is really bare bones with just one mode and 4 maps, but each map is pretty distinct and awesome and the unlockables make levelling worth the grind thanks to Splash Damage's signature extensive character customization that's loaded with personality. I'm curious to see if they expand on the multiplayer in future installments or chalk it up as a failed experiment, but I think it has potential.

i am taking my time with the game, and it's a Great game..

Joker is scary and crazy ! ..

but being Gotham City .. thought there would be people in it? i've never seen a game that is set in a city with no citizens ..Granted there is a "Curfew" ..but even in these situations there should be some ppl atleast breaking that law .

The scenario of having ppl in Gotham if Batman is in public is they would call the police and then we should have a fight.
