Whatever it may be, it's going to be an uphill battle after the Nolan films to whoever is going to helm it. I think it's going to be a while until someone makes a Batman film that surpasses the Nolan ones, at least for The Dark Knight.

Rashida Jones...

Why does it have to surpass TDK? Just make a good movie.

Let's see a blue/black hue and grey costume this time...nothing flamboyant like B&R...back to basic. I would like nikolaj coster-waldau

I'm burned out on the realism in the Nolan films, I liked them all, but didn't really enjoy how heavy in reality they were. That's one thing that keeps me going back to 89 Batman, for all its flaws and camp, I enjoy that it makes no attempts to make Batman or Gotham real. I want a comic movie in a comic universe.

:exactly:
As Much as I dislike the 89 Batman movie for various reasons, the parts that do work, work REALLY well.

I want a world where Hugo Strange, Penguin, Mr Freeze and Clayface exist.

I stay with Nolan as the best Batman version ever (better than comic books and better than Arkham Asylum/City).. I want more Batman movies that emulates Nolan's.

I loved the Nolan films, but I would like to see some new take on the character. Bring in the fantastical, let's get Croc and Clayface in there.

Batman was Batman ong before Christopher Nolan. And He will be Batman long after too. And to say that Nolan's version is better than the comic is asinine. The comic is the definitive version. The Arkham verse more closely resembles Batman than Nolan's version.

Nolan made some great films. But they are just an elseworlds tale. A damn good one, but nothing more. Arkham gets about as close to the character as any. And WB would do well to look toward it for the future interpretation of the character.

Robert Downy Jr.

Watch his sherlock Holmes movies, and just imagine THAT as batman.
Yes, he could be slightly more grim, But I think the Level of Camp from those films is JUST RIGHT for Bruce Wayne.

That would be awesome, but he's kinda playing Iron Man. There is another Sherlock Holmes who would make an awesome Batman however....
