Even for casual Superman fans it is major fail, I only got the HT Reeve version due to it being so well done, and that got me excited for the PF, but it only set me up for disappointment.

Me too actually. I enjoyed the reeve films but they were before my time and I'm much more of a batman fan. Hot toys did such a good job on their figure I couldn't help but pick him up. I was also hoping I could get some kind of Hot Toys/PF display with both Keaton's and reeve's pieces but unfortunately that won't be happening I guess.

Decided to pass on this. Sticking with the comic PFs and the Nolan versions (hopefully they make more than just the Joker, I'd really like Bale Batman, Bane, and Scarecrow at least. Plus I'd also buy Catwoman, and Two-Face for sure. Prolly all them, )

I just dont see how a Bale batman could b better than this version. They were really good movies but I just don't think Bales Look in his batsuit was as iconic

A Bale Batman is going to sell like hotcakes man. Keaton, though iconic is before a lot of people's time and can be considered outdated by some. Don't get me wrong, I still love that movie but I'm passing on this and waiting for a Bale Batman instead. Bale Bats will just have more mass appeal IMO.

Not with the Affleck Batman on the horizon.

People have short attention spans, Sideshow takes a while to produce their Premium Format figures. By the time a potential/hypothetical Bale Batman hit it would be around the time Affleck Bats is all the rage.

That is a definite possibility. We'll have to see how Affleck looks and performs as bats but Bale did get to make a trilogy so his image as Batman is pretty ingrained. I think if the Bale PF looks good and Affleck either doesnt do a great job or the suit just doesn't look that great, a Bale Bats will still sell plenty.

Still, there's that prominent collector mentality of, "meh, I'll wait for the newer Batman". If the Affleck Batman suit/costume is even slightly enticing and/or cool looking we'll see people that will wait for "the next one" and skipping anything Bale Batman related. It'll be especially true if the Bale Batman is in some weird *** pose or they **** up the costume.

I actually have a theory that ALL of the DC film characters in PF form might not be very popular, especially if the comic interpretations are out before the movie ones like the case with Batman and Superman here.

I agree releasing the Comic versions first might hurt sells of the movie versions as well as having multiple versions at once. Ie three superman pfs are up for order right now. I could easily 3 or 4 bat pfs at the same time

The SS Ledger Joker will a good indication if we get Bale Batman. If that does well, and I expect it too, then we can expect a Bale Batman. IMO.

Maybe. But aside from figures (which I'm not interested in and the smaller DC statues) there really isn't much of a selection of statues out there. I think there's a definite demand, especially for PFs.

Lol I must've missed that part. My bad. If I do ever get a Bale PF it'll be because I have available room (wallet/house) AND if it's the 'Begins' suit (love that suit looks 'more' Batman IMO than the ones in the other movies). I hope I don't regret not getting this though.
