Agreed, I have no basis for this but I always considered the Hot Toys base a younger crowd than the statue crowd. In other words, if the Bale base is loaded up on Hot Toys, will they spring for a new median at $400 plus

Agreed, most don't collect both medians but its possible. I no way am I saying Bale bats isn't really popular but the question is...is he popular enough to buck the trend of slow sales on Movie based PF's. Guess only time will tell. I have no doubt SS will eventually make one.

I hear a lot of snobs giving the burton era films a hard time nowadays for being "dated" and I have no idea how you could make that claim. The ONLY aspect I could see supporting that would be the Prince songs I guess but still when you take that soundtrack as a whole it's one of the greatest of all time. I personally like that they included his royal badness because the juxtaposition of his upbeat tracks and the destruction and mass murdering that is taking place while they're playing works well. But that's just my amateur opinion of course.

I've aways wondered what a third film in the Burton Batman Trilogy would've ended up being like. I think Burton could've done some awesome stuff with Lando as Two Face. I have no doubt that would've ended up being my favorite trilogy of all time had it come to fruition.

I wish Burton would have done a Batman movie with Crock and Mr.Freeze. They would've been one hell of a bad guy combo, and I think Burton would have done some creepy wicked stuff with them.

I am sorry guys, but the Burton movies aren't only outdated... they are nearly unwatchable from a story standpoint. I rewatched them just a few weeks ago. I dare anyone to explain the logic of the Batman Returns plot without making people laugh. I know a lot of people still love those movies and thats great. I just hate it when people like chin put down the Nolan stuff and fans of it and act like Burtons movies are the only way to go. You only come across as old farts who long for "the olden days when everything was better". It wasn't. Thats personal taste and/or nostalgia talking.

That being said, I love Keaton in the role and have preordered this PF, even if I highly dislike the movies it is from. For me its just the best looking Batman PF that is currently out there (and I love the pose and base) as I was really let down by the comic PF.
I really hope they will do a Bale PF in the next few years, since I love the Nolan movies much more (I am 30 now, so I am old enough to have grown up with the Burton films).

You really can't compare the two batman series to each other, Nolan's was a more realistic updated take on Batman where Burton's version of Batman was kind of like a dark version of the original TV show with a bit of comic book vibe thrown in. I still enjoy watching both Nolan's and Burton's versions on Batman.
