Nah. Wayne recovering from a back breaking injury by hanging and doing push ups was realistic as hell. Can't beat that.

My point was that Nolan's version was a more realistic take on the Batman story then Burtons was, I mean common, Oswald Cobblepot controlling penguins with rocket launchers on their back as they march through the city.... Anyways both films are fun to watch, trying to argue which is better is like comparing apples to oranges.

BTW I did look this up..

Chiropractor Dr. Suzanne McBride of Network Wellness Care

Let's talk about the stretching device that he uses. You said there's some controversy about hanging in the chiropractic community?

Yes. There's a study by Alfred Briggs on adverse mechanical cord tension (AMCT), and that's what I base a lot of my work on. It says that if you were to pull the spinal cord really tightly, you could herniate the pineal gland in your brain, which helps control the endocrine system. But a lot of other professionals use those really expensive traction machines, and people seem to get a lot of relief from it. I use gentler techniques to get your body to truly heal, long-term, without damaging other parts of your body while you do it.

So Batman is hanging from the ceiling. Hypothetically, if he did that for a few months, could he align himself?

That's just going to depend on what damage occurred — if the spinal cord tore, if the vertebrae shattered, if arteries were severed. If everything else in his body remained intact except for the shape of the spine, then the shape of the spine could absolutely shift with gravity. But it's never one thing. Generally, it's fourteen things happening all at once. But if his bones were intact and they just moved out of place, gravity could do the job.

Anyways punching the vertebrae back in place is unrealistic but the hanging has some merit.

Ill say this. Having seen both joker movies recently the 89 version made more sense plot wise. Jack was a mob boss done wrong with a dark vengeance and psychotic issues which fits what happened to him story wise. The Nolan joker is very confusing story wise. Who is he, where did he come from, why and ill say it again why would he dress up like that do what he's doing. I guess Nolan was going for a chaos factor but that wasn't good enough for me. That crazy needs a backstory imo

I still prefer the Killing Joke origin to both. Just a guy trying to support his family anyway he can and happens to be doing the wrong thing, at the wrong place, at the wrong time and everything in his world shatters, and so does his mind.

If I remember right the 89 Joker back story was that he was dropped in a vat of toxic waste (which realistically would of killed him) and he came out insane. It's amazing how many superheroes and villains have been created from toxic waste :)

Yeah love that story. It's written by Alan Moore, someone who can do little wrong in my eyes.

Poor old Gordon had a terrible time in that story :/

Agreed, although the Nolan Joker works too IMO - he just is, you don't need his back story.

I like both versions. Nolan's Joker works because, as Alfred put it, "some people just want to watch the world burn." I think it speaks to the point that some people are just evil and do bad things simply because they can and for no reason other than that.

I got that but I wanted more. I get there are pure evil people but for me it was why at that scope, why Gotham, why Batman, what were his reasons. Operationally it didn't make sense to me.

I'm fine with Nolan's Joker not having much back story. It adds to the whole enigma of the joker IMO. The guy is just crazy. Insane. Just does **** for the lulz.

I prefer it when Jokers backstory is blur & unknown. Pretty much the reasons you said. The guy is a friggin nut job
