I watched Batman last night and it really got me excited about this. I forgot how much I love the original movie.
Yea, that and Superman The Movie really hold up. You would think with how those movies were that superhero movies would have gotten a lot better.
Some have been great, but I find a lot of them these days will be forgotten in the next 5 years.
I must be the only guy around that finds Superman The Movie dated.

I was watching Superman 2 last night and although I think the movie is still good, it does look really dated.
Don't get me wrong, I love Terrance Stamp's performance but mostly because of how comical it is. People love those films because of their chilhood memories I find, not because they're terribly good films...

Not just you - I'm a die hard Supes fan (he's my favorite), and they are dated.
That said, I'm not sure if there's been a great Superman film yet. When someone figures out how to put "For the man who has everything" onto film (say, as the middle act), I'll be happy
