For my $400 and change I would like to have a screen specific Bats. Black around the logo, no forehead curve line, no imaginary base, and no head turn. Why not put him in an iconic pose that we actually SEE in the movie. Not something he COULD have done. He could have walked down these stairs that we never see on film. What exactly is he looking at I wonder. :lol

Fact is he barely turned his head on screen. So if %97 of the movie his head is straight, how is it this statue is not? :lol I don't understand how some people can't comprehend that. It's like Ss wants to hit doubles and not home runs. I just don't get it. Who cares if they never said he couldn't turn his neck on screen. He didn't.

It's fine to be over the moon with this peice. It IS impressive. It is going to turn heads and spark conversation. It just could have been the end all 89 piece, but isn't. Maybe that is their plan all along? If Ss dropped a different Keaton PF with no neck turn, these wouldn't be nearly as attractive anymore. Most that aren't fully satisfied will still buy because there is nothing else of this caliber 89 related. It is what it is. I will gladly purchase it but wish it were what it could have been.

mmmmBrains my long lost brutha! :lol The missing black around the emblem is present in the new pics so that's taken care of. I figured that was just a rushed preview pic.

This pic shows us how the cowl has slight movement but more so Keaton having to shift his face while the cowl is staying out. Look at his mouth not being centered and his eyes being covered up more on his right. Sorry fellas, is more his face moving not so much the cowl.

Looks like him to me....

Follow the tip of his nose down. It lines up with the outside of the insignia on both.

I am not saying he is doing Exorcist head spins... But he is definitely getting some head turn.

The head can turn. Accept it people and move on.

I wasn't trying to use that pic as justification for the turn when I put it together. I am a firm believer in not attributing limitations of props/ wardrobes to the character unless it is expressly addressed in the film....

...but the pic does make it seem like the argument really should lighten up now. :)

Yeah people really need to move on. But that pic was perfect :).

The picture is good if you want a PF of Batman with a little girl or Vicky. :lol IMHO, the pose and base are lackluster. Overall though this will be an impressive piece. In all honesty, you guys don't think this could have been a bit better? Or you're just so blinded by your love for the film in which this pose and base did not come from? I can dig that. :lol

It would have had to have been pretty dreadful for me not to have POd it coz I frikking love that movie.

Putting my bias to one side I dont know how I would have improved this though. I mean I different pose perhaps, something where he's fighting? Or an axis chemicals vibe, arm out stretched with the grappling gun pointed? Those poses sort of limit the option of the EX though IMO - of you don't have the grapple gun then he's just sort of holding out his arm.

This pose feels to me like he's heading down the steps to get in the batmobile and go kick ***, he's slapping the grapple gun on his belt. I think it's a great spin on Keaton Bat that isn't scene specific but is an all round interpretation.

Speaking of the '89 film, Danny Elfman's Batman Theme has become synonymous with the Batman character for me, just like John Williams' Superman Theme is now synonymous with the Superman character.

When I watch Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, or play Batman Arkham Asylum; Danny Elfman's theme is playing in my head.

Well if this is anything like the comic styled PF Batman it means we won't see this guy in hand until around July 2015.

I was 9 and I must've seen that flick like 6 times at the movies I love it still!

I was 18 and I saw it 5 times in the theater myself... I refused to admit how I really thought... I was a Jack fan! I was a atfan! I was bragging up this film ever since the trailer got premiered on TV during the Oscars. Actually I was pumped before that... It all started when I saw the first released photos in TIME mag in my school library. I made people go see it with me.... The whole time I was thinking.... This is not as good as I thought it was going to be... But I felt like I had to love it.

Now I am a bitter old man lol ;)

I couldn't disagree more... But hey- Everybody is entitled to their opinion. :duff

Yep :) I know I am in the minority on this board and I am not going to say anything bad about the film anymore. Not here in this thread anyways :)

But I do think the PF is pretty Kick A$$ and I congratulate all of you 89 Batfans for getting what looks like to be the definitive Keaton Batman. The base is Killer!!!!

This will have to have a Nicholson Joker of course! Will that be possible for Sideshow? I seem to remember that Hot Toys had to make heaven and earth move to get the Nicholson likeness rights? Will the same apply for Sideshow I wonder?
