BvS needs to be spectacular just so Marvel doesn't become complacent and over confident.

No superhero cbm in existence can touch TWS in the action department.

It doesn't really matter who does what first because the other will follow suit without question.

Yeah, over the last 40 years or so, anyway, both sides have been influencing each other in every way you can imagine it, and no side is the clear victor here--in terms of comic stories and approaches, the way they merchandise, the kinds of cartoons or movies they attempt, etc. So nowadays, that is a given, and it really does all come down to who puts out the best products. So far, DC wins in the animated department, hands down, no dispute. Young Justice alone is better than any Marvel cartoon ever made. Marvel wins in the movie department, easily (factoring in Fox's X-Men films). But that could change in 5 years, either way.

JLA didn't innovate anything, though. It was very explicitly an update to the JSA, which had been around since the early '40s. Nor did the Nu-52, since that's just a rehash of the fallout from Crisis on Infinite Earths. There is nothing new under the sun.

The first one is great. It's beyond CBM.

Better, oh heck no. It came close to maybe equal.

Blade 1 is in my top 10 cbm for many reasons, the action being one of them.

It is still a spectacular movie.

Blade 2, while still good, doesn't top 1 for me although 2 has its supporters as well.

I will never tire of watching Blade 1, so many bad ass moments in that movie to even count.

I like 2 more purely for the visuals, and effects, thanks to Del Toro for that. But 1 is the better overall movie.

2 has one of the scariest looking vampires in movie history, Nomak!

But something about the story didn't flow right with me.

Not bad mind you, but the villains in 1 were so much better.

Frost, Quinn, Dagonetti, the asian club, his slow mo gun shots, Traci Lords, burned Quinn, the soundtrack, his lines like some muther****ers always trying to ice skate up hill.

2 is great if you're in a Eastern Eurotrash kind of mood.
