Those aren't 100% CGI. They're real shots with digital FX added. None of the Nolan films used a 100% CGI Batman model. Not like MOS or the Spider-Man movies, etc. that use 100% computer generated character models that usually look fake.
Because the hate train needs fuel to keep rolling.
It's on the BB dvd extras, 100% digital Batman when he jumps down and lands at Arkham.
Are you talking about this?

Because that's not in the movie. It was a 'proof of concept' piece to show Nolan and company that the company behind it COULD do shots like that. But the actual shot in the film features Bale/a stunt double. Only CGI used in that scene is to erase the safety harness/wires and to add in the bats.
In some instances I can, as well. Days of Future Past had some of that CG stuff in the scenes with the Sentinels (mostly in the future scenes), and it didn't detract from my interest. Same could happen for the Batman film, but again as I think Fabio pointed out--if it's just Batman grappling somewhere, it seems unnecessary to overdo it with the CG. And that's when it maybe gets more distracting.Idk, if I enjoy a movie I can look past fake Batman and Duckmen.
I guess they don't want a Nolan looking Batman hanging off a building.
Who knows we still might see Affleck hanging off a building but with a billowing cgi cape.
Yeah, those Sentinels were a *****, probably the scariest and toughest villains in a cbm thus far, until Thanos comes along that is.
Works for me.
