The MOS was perfect IMO, this one is cool too, but they went overboard with the muscle highlights, which gives away the look of muscle suit, it helps that it's actual fabric on top though.

The sculpted muscles on the MOS blended perfectly with Cavill's real body.

It's not a deal breaker for me, not for Superman anyway, kryptonian fabric or whatever, they can get away with the muscle suit look, but Batman should be more "practical" looking imo.

Yeah, MOS just about got away with it IMO. This one is way over the top though. And I disagree, I feel quite the opposite, I don't mind Batman wearing fake muscles, he is designed to intimidate. To be fearful whatever it takes. Superman is entirely different, he should be 100% flesh and bone (kryptonian). Why would Superman as a character wear a fake torso?

I don't think it's a fake torso though

The ****er has mantots :lol

The more I look at the pics the more I think it's a ****** paintjob on the suit, like highlighting the edge of all the muscles, fake or real, it makes him look a bit like a balloon :lol they should just left it alone, if it has muscles underneath they're still covered by fabric, the highlights just ruin the illusion.

Yeah, you can clearly tell it's just paint in the bucket challenge video.

Jesus guys, it's a massive rubber sculpted suit. Cavill is seriously built, but even in MOS he has inches of rubber on him. I thought we had been through all this a year ago. This suit is obviously trying for the bigger stock TDKR Superman, it's ridiculously unrealistic. If you like that cool, but don't even try and suggest it's not a fake torso, the first suit had a fake torso, this is twice as big. :lol

The worst part is that Cavill doesn't even need fake muscles. He would've been fine going CR style.

yup.

I thought you meant the MoS one, the BvS clearly has an entirely fake torso, yes, all the muscles in general are very angular, but they could've hide it better if it didn't have such ****** highlights.

Now the MoS one had slight padding here and there at the edge the muscles, certainly not a 100% fake torso, and yes we've been through that.

I think the muscle suits look fine. I'm not worried about much from this film on the cosmetic front--one exception may be Luthor, but even there it seems like it will suit the character being developed for the film.

The MOS suit is a complete fake muscle suit!
Jesus man, google it and you will see it standing up on it's own, with complete chest definition.
It was a neoprene undersuit, with a sculpted silicone musculature, chromed (man of steel) and netted over in blue fabric. Same guys made Tobey's Sculpted Spider-suit.
Told you i held the ****ing thing in my hands, but don't believe me mate. :lol
The damn thing was on display around the world.

Gaspar read this.. end of conversation.
The MOS suit was a sculpted body suit.

"Once the final design was approved, the construction process began - and what a process it was! The team started with 3-D clay models, and then moved on to full digital body scans of actor Henry Cavill, which were used to create a "chromed muscle suit" as a base for the costume. Michael pointed out that a lot of muscle definition is lost with leotards, and so they had to build it back into the suit to make sure Superman looked strong. Collaborator Eddie Yang used sophisticated design software to insert perfectly symmetrical, "alien" details into the suit. His work was then sent to a 3-D printer, and the resulting molds were used to create the eighteen duplicate suits for the film, with more pliable, movable fabrics."
