I read this article about the upcoming trailer, and basically the guy says that WB needs to make sure BVS looks like a fun film, so that families will be interested in watching it when it comes out. I agree, the first two trailer are pretty dark and grim, not fun at all, so maybe having some humor in it would be nice. Even two of the most serious/grim superhero films ever, TDK and TDKR had some humor in the trailers.

Yeah, Marvel makes serious trailers, but then the films have plenty of humor and meaningless death scenes...it's what they do.

You could tell AoU trailers were just "edgy" boolshet right from the start though.

WS is serious by Marvel/Whedon standards, but within the first 5 minutes you have the running to the left joke, Capt's list, Capt jumping without a parachute and the other guys commenting on it, Black Widow trying to set Capt on a date or something during their mission, and that's just in the beginning.

Just before their final mission, they steal Capt's uniform and Stan Lee as a 90 year security guard has a "funny" cameo, and he's like, "Oh man, I am so fired." All it was missing was this sound...

True, but the action in TWS more than makes up for all this stuff.

AND, Pa Kent's suicide is no less silly and funny than the stuff from the MCU.

Besides, variety is the fruit of life.

I love the little details, I like the way affleck leads with his eyes when he turns his head towards superman, I also like how he knows superman is landing before he does land, he must hear him. Which shows how highly tuned in and aware and trained batman is. Even though he's just woke up from Being knocked out

This is also a presumption but I'm guessing no one else would be able to just rip the cowl off batman like that, only superman can do it because well, he's superman.

I also think batfleck looks amazing in the cowl.

It's become pretty apparent that Cavill can't act (have you seen Uncle?), maybe that's why it's become more Batman orientated, seriously that is a terrible piece of performance.
BatBen looks good though, think he will save the movie.
