It's funny, a few months ago, I like a lot of people thought Gadot was the weakest link in this film, now after this trailer, she seems alright, while the villains are the ones who feel out of place, along with the tone of the film being very comical at times, which is somewhat different from the previous film. It has to be the editing, because the previous trailers look like a different movie.

Am I the only one that liked and preferred that clip we got a couple days ago over this trailer?

I know we saw glimpses of that scene in the trailer, but I thought that was how it was originally going to start with that dramatic tension of a captured Batman and stuff. Not this thing. Yeah, I know we all knew that they were all going to team up at the end, but now I really miss the tone they were going with the prior trailers and clips with this Batman/Superman smack down thing.

Not just you, I want grimdark back too, it works better for DC.

Let's hope this madness is just for the trailer.

Well, that was...bad...Like...really, really bad... Let's examine what went bad (well, everything, but oh well):

-Doomsday: Boy oh boy, ain't this one a let down. He looks like a mutated Cave-Troll. But hey, it's a good thing that the Abomination from TIH found a new job after Marvel gave him the sack.

-Lex Luthor: Just...no...The humor in the Marvel moviews works because most of the people doing the humor make sense. Stark is an arrogant *******, Cap is still stuck in the 40s, Star-Lord is an immature boy abducted by aliens, etc, etc... You may not like the jokes and that's fine, but the characters being funny makes sense. Here, you're essentially taking Luthor and making him act like a college student hooked on Energy-Drinks. This is just Domashev all over again...

-The humor: Ah yes, I remember the days when the DC fans prided themselves over the fact that their movies were "mature" and "of a higher breed". And ya know, that was good. DC stuff was bleaker and that's alright, not everything needs to be humorous. But, these jokes sound like Marvel stuff that got cut in the editting floor. And that's saying something considering that 40% of the dialog in there is quips...I mean, seriously, "Is she with you?", that's your closing line? Jesus...

-The theme: Yes, we got it, you're going with the "God vs Man" angle...I for one, hate that. That's the major thing from this movie I don't like. That certain angle is overplayed, oversaturated and the lazy filmmaker's way of appearing "intellectual". Instead of trying to portray such events rather "realistic", Snyder just chooses to go with the always "reliable" "supahpowared poeple are Godz and we're antzzz" story-arc. And I don't like that.

-Wonder Woman: Is anyone worried that we still haven't heard a single word coming from Diana's mouth? The fact that they're more willing to spoil the final battle rather than give us a bit of dialogue isn't exactly reasuring...

All in all, the trailer was bad, and it's really making my excitement go down. From the 2 newly released trailers, CW wins hands down. You feel for Cap, you feel for Tony, you get to know why the Government is trying to control them. You've seen what happens when they go unsupervised, but you've also seen what happens when they're being controlled. You understand both POVs, because, for better or worse, you know these characters. You know how they think, how they act, everything. You're emotionally invested in them.

With BvS, you're getting a Superman you don't recognise fighting against a Batman you've never seen. There's no past friendship between the two, so the fight is of no consequence in a way. You know they're just gonna fight and then team-up to fight injustice and yadda, yadda, yadda. Snyder's essentially adapting a "story" that centers around a destroyed friendship and conflicting ideologies, which showed us how even dear friends can turn into bitter enemies. But, what he does is instead just focusing on the fight. Which, again, does not make me feel like it "matters". Kal and Bruce are not friends, they're strangers, so the figh carries no emotional weight.

I'm not sure how I feel about this trailer.

I loved the Wonder Woman scenes... she looks amazing. The line "is she with you?" was dumb though.

I think Gal is going to steal the film. :rock

Agree on all points.

Are we to understand that in deflecting Doomsday's heat-blast with her shield WonderWoman inadvertently wipes out Metropolis? Looks like it from the editing of that trailer. That city just can't catch a break.

:lol I wonder if the other half of the city will be levelled to the ground by the end of this film. Probably.

Lol what's wrong with you people? Doomsday looks like Doomsday. How else would he look? In the comics he grew bones as the story progressed. You "fans" just love to hate on anything that isn't Marvel. Guess it would be considered good if Superman and Lex had a dance off?

How about hating on something that's bad? And I mean the trailer. There's still a chance that the film could be good, even with Hack Snyder directing.

Yeah, I preferred it too, because at least it seemed like the movie knew what it was. It's probably just a really bad, studio-meddled trailer, but I can't be truly sure of what this is anymore. This last trailer is a huge contradiction to everything we've seen so far.

I actually thought the clip we got a few days wasn't really good either. Somehow Affleck and Cavill were able to overact in a scene that had no dialogue.

The Good. I dig Clark Kent's mannerisms a lot, reminds me of George Reeves actually. I think Batman/Bruce Wayne looks and sounds awesome. No doubt in my mind that Affleck is going to be as good as the others. Pretty nice introduction to Wonder Woman.

The Bad. Lex Luthor reminds me of Batman Forever Edward Nygma sans charisma and energy. Eisenberg kinda made me cringe. The Doomsday thing does nothing for me, he also looks awful like the abomination in the Incredible Hulk from 2008. Way to blow the "Batman vs Superman" dynamic by already showing that they team up.

I dunno.
agreed word for word.

I feel like I've seen the entire film now. Sure we all know they team up, it would be idiotic to think otherwise, but there's no reason to show it in the trailer.

Doomsday looks awful

I think he looks good. Rember it´s a twisted form of Zod and normally Doomsday is a clone.
Thousands of times cloned to make the ultimate lifeform.
He adapted to every form of death.
Under those boney protrusions, he looks like that and I think he just didn´t adapt complete.

There´s stuff missing, not more:

This trailer really took away all the tension between Batman and Superman because by the end of the trailer they're acting like buddies. We knew it was going to happen, but still, the Batman VS Superman selling point of the film and the merchandise is kind of pointless now when they show the ending...:dunno
